Where is Greta?

My heroes? (can't help yourself can you Andy?) 🙄 Atleast those people are actually qualified to actually have a decent opinion on climate change.
And remember your heroes just stop oil are funded by some rather large family names who all made their money from oil!
My heroes? Why can't you ever answer the questions Rob? (You never can or do)
I really don't understand why you guys support these big corporations and their greed rather than help and support in the fight to help stop or at least abate climate change. Climate change is real. The science is proven.

It's true, it is called weather, but yet. In my lifetime the little river I used to catch dace and perch in as a youngster is now so polluted that in some stretches it reeks and the water has turned red, not a fish remains. I don't pretend to understand the ins and outs of global weather but I know what my eyes see. If Greta or anyone could return my river to how it was I would support them.

What you are talking about is pollution not climate change.

Pollution is real and we can do something about that without ruining our economy and making everybody poorer. Climate change is also real, the climate has been changing for millions of years and there's nothing you or I can do about it.

I’d sooner support and pay attention to successful, educated business men than any of the 7 hypocritical ‘climate’ chumps shown in the photo. (y)

Consider recent history of manmade effect on the environment and public health -
Asbestosis
Thalidomide
WW1
WW2
Nuclear tests & accidents
Teflon
Plastic being discharged into waterways
Prescription drug addiction
Train accidents carrying toxic chemicals
Etc there are many others
Add to manmade, the natural effects on the environment that affect people's wellbing
Tsunamis
Volcanoes
Flooding
Drought
Famine
Hurricanes
Etc
Forget all that! Only way to save humanity is for the poor to pay more tax on energy and to stop using their cars
The CO2 fable has to be the biggest scam of our lifetime

Climate change is real. The science is proven.
Of course climate change is real, how could the climate of a planet like ours remain constant? The climate has always changed, it's madness to think that we can influence it and alter the temperature of the planet. The science is most definitely not proven because only one narrative is allowed, that is NOT scientific. Pollution is another matter, we cause it and we can cure it.

Yes you are right of course. 👍 The pollution (our expulsion of greenhouse gases from large industry and fossil fuels) is a major factor and causing it to worsen. And the scientists have shown that we are making it worse. Wars don't help either. Nor does having extremely poor 3rd world countries not being able to afford to change their polluting way of life. Yep, no doubt about it mate, pollution is causing it.

Some scientists, not all of them. There are many scientists who rebuke those claims. It's just that they get shut down because their voice doesn't fit the narrative.
They normally get shut down because they are in the pay of big oil and gas comglogerates. Just like the doctors and scientists that used to declare that smoking cigarettes was good for you. They were all working for the tobacco companies.

We all have different opinions though. 👍

Those talking about pollution. Plastic in the ocean is one I hear about a lot .

Do they wear Fleece clothing that is made from recycled plastic bottles ?

I wonder how much micro plastics are washed into the oceans every time they wash their fleece clothing .

Next time you see some one talking about micro plastics and wearing a fleece garment ask them if they have read about the micro plastics their clothing is putting into the oceans .

Andy, where do you think we would be with out oil? How would anything move around the world?
Emissions from combustion engines these days are minimal compared to 30 years ago. Hydrogen would be a good alternative, but while all the Greta huggers are trying to sell the idea of battery vehicles that will never happen. All the time there is Lithium and Cobalt in the mines to sell to us, nothing will change. When that stuff has run out (and there will not be enough to make everyone a car) the places where they have been mined will be a cesspit, then there will be all the problems of getting rid of the by products of production, then the cells themselves, all highly TOXIC!
Like many you have been sold the green idea. Its not hard to work out, its a crap one. No electric motor running on batteries is ever going to move anything large over a great distance. Even the huge earth movers that have electric motors are run by diesel generators.
We need to use what sources we have until we are ready to make a change, and we are no where near ready and putting people in poverty to achieve Net Zero by 2030 is absolutely out of order.
Co2 is not a poisonous gas, anything that grows needs it for life, if we had to much the deserts would be green!
As to answering your questions, you never listen to what anyone says anyway, your just interested in making snide comments trying to get someone to bite!

You missed off "the Pill" which is part responsible for lowering male sperm counts along with other things like BPA in plastics and the lower meat intake in the diet.

We will have to agree to disagree on the subject. As for the snide remarks, well look at yourself in that regard. I am merely calling you out on some of your statements. If someone makes a statement it's only right that someone else with an opposing view might ask them to provide a source or a link to actual facts. We are here to discuss. You seem to have a habit of posting controversial stuff for effect. Don't be surprised when anyone calls you out. Not everyone believes in the same things or has the same views.
I'll bow out of this discussion now as I have made my point.

You have a nice day. 👍

Thats the thing, you never make a point or have any real contribution to a discussion!
I have just explained why and many on here by the looks of things, think that Net Zero is a shite idea. When have you ever had a counter argument that didnt just consist of , ''where are your peer reviewed facts!''
Debates on here are not just posting links to some left wing rags dribble on their website.

What war crimes? Has anything been unequivocally proven that he has personally committed war crimes?
He started a war with Ukraine.
Hitler started two wars and was held accountable for the atrocities in the second world war.
Putin should be held accountable for the mass graves found in the Ukraine as he is ultimately responsible for sending his army into a territory that is independent from the Russian federation.
