The Euros Fans Thread

Italy didn't deserve to equalise. A crap team, lacking quality all over the pitch. And now Croatia are probably out.
 
Seems to be a theme over the last couple of days... Sit back and be crap and just hit a screamer in the last minute. The Italians didn't really deserve it at all. Gutted for Croatia.
On the flip side due to Albania losing to Spain means England have qualified...

Having seen England play when they need to win, I am not hopeful about how they will play when it doesn't matter!

I am no Scotland fan - I just watched the last ten minutes + 10 minutes injury time. They may not be brilliant at finishing, but they got into the oppositions penalty area more often in that time than England did in two whole games.
 
Agreed, we haven't been great but hopefully this will ease the pressure a little and allow them a bit of freedom to play. We all know the quality that England possess as a squad, it's the creation of a 'team' we are struggling with. Lets hope another 'golden generation' doesn't pass with nothing to show. I am forever hopeful.. 🤞
 
Scotland are officially at the very bottom of the Euro stat rankings now. 3 shots on target in 3 games.
I usually want them to win, but after years of listening to their anti-English crap, all I can say is

Yes, it all gets a bit draining how the other countries of the home nations seem to hate us. However I still want them to do well, along with Wales and Ireland (both)
Maybe I'm weird....:sneaky:
 
I think they need to ad some more punishment in football, in every league and bigger events, like this crap with filming, big tough guys that flex their muscles and tattoos at every chance, then at match as soon someone kick some air to their bodys or accidently touch their hair rolls like 14 times and scream like someone ripped their legs of, i think they should have a nanny at the side where they have to sit for 5 min with a big pacifier in their mouth! And instead of the yellow card give the player 2 min on a bench, do something again and get 30 minutes, another one off you go and minimum 2 matches with a player short. I prefer to watch when girls are playing football cause the most of them are tougher than the blokes ...

Yet another shocking performance by England. Group winners, but I can’t see any other National side shaking in their shoes at the thought of playing us.
 
Nope, another mind numbing performance. It's beginning to sap the life out of me and I am normally annoyingly positive about England.
Next game will be better...There you go, I'm back..
 
I don't think is was as bad as it looked. There were bright signs from Foden, all the subs did well even if the timing of their introduction was tardy. Bellingham was knackered right from the first whistle and needs to be benched as does Kane, who appears to be hiding an injury.
But the biggest thing holding us back has to be Southgate himself. He's gotta go. It looks like all his footballing decisions are led by stats rather than nous. It's football by rote rather than understanding.

It's because Southgate is at best a coach, definitely not a manager. Got the job on the back of being a yes man and success with the age group side where it's more about 1 or 2 outstanding players winning a game for you than a team.

Bellingham looks like he's had too many games at Madrid this year, was getting really niggly as well last night & probably a missed chance to rest him and move Foden to the 10 and Gordon left wing from the start last night.
 
I don't want to start any conspiracies or unfounded rumours, but I've seen The Stepford Wives and I think the FA had Southgate made. Underneath that waistcoat is nothing but receivers and circuit boards. A short circuit would explain his Groucho Marx jumpy eyebrows too.

Watched an enjoyable game of football last night between Portugal and Georgia and I’m not a fan. England should be locked in a room and made to watch the match time and time again to show them HOW the game should be played. Classic enthusiasm overcomes quality players
 
Good news! There is a team more sh#t than England, Italy did not turn up against the Swiss, a woeful performance surely they are worse than England? 😀
