Hi, has anyone any information on the ideal Belleville stack configuration for achieving 85 bar on a huma r10 regulator?
I'm having issues with my huma reg which I got direct from huma (it came set at 125 bar)
I ordered it for a sub 12, 15" barrel .177 cal r10.
I adjusted it to 85 bar and still fluctuations in FPS/FPE which has lead me to believe it could have a Belleville stack set up for FAC pressure.
I was wondering if anyone had the Ideal stack configuration I could try before I end up having to send it back to Holland. Thanks in advance.

Huma reg as it came.

I have stripped and serviced the original BSA reg and polished the Belleville's and it's achieving 7 FPS spread over 10 shots and 9 FPS spreads over 10 shots. But want to use the huma reg I have bought.

As I understand it the reg spring stack is the same for the entire operating pressure range of all sub-12 and FAC guns.

Are you able to cycle the reg while on the pressure tester to ensure that you're getting a consistant output?

Has anything changed elsewhere in the gun that could be affecting consistency?

Hi cloverleaf, I can drop pressure using the bleed valve in the reg tester and the reg is returning to the set pressure every time but not performing in the gun. I have put the original BSA reg back after servicing it and it's now good. I installed the huma reg correctly and adjusted pressure correctly. Which is why I thought it could possibly be a Belleville stack configuration issue.

The stick on pressure scale on the huma reg had come off when I removed the reg from the block, wonder if some of it got pulled into the reg 🤔

That's bizarre; the only way it can affect performance is by varying pressure output - which appears not to be the case from your tests with the tester.

Yes, the scales do have a habit of coming off (I always remove them prior to fitting) and I guess it's possible that some of one could have found its way into the reg; although again one would expect any resultant problem to manifest on the tester..

Really strange,I have been trying to search Belleville stack options for the huma r10 reg but can't find anything, on YouTube xtx huma r10 reg service video, he say's he adjusts the stack's depending on required pressure but doesn't go into the stack options.

Did you get the correct size huma reg for your rifle?
I ordered sud 12 15" barrel .177 option so yes mate I did my part right 👍🏻, I think they have sent me one setup for FAC, I have emailed them for diagrams of the sub 12 Belleville stack and if I can sort it I will keep it, if not it's going back to huma

I’ve just put one in my r10 if you don’t get any luck with the emails let me know and I’ll strip it down

I am not very keen on Huma regs and fitted one to my R10 only to find it was inconsistent so took it off and reverted to the original and never looked back, I have the factory Huma on my Alpha Wolf and also find that not very consistent, I have always blamed the sealing method for this rather than the Bellville stack as the sealing is where any inconsistencies are going to occur unless the plenum is far too large which does not allow the reg to cycle properly, I much prefer Lane regs.

Selfishly I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that had huma reg issues.

Have you had issues with one as well?
Having issues at the moment. Fitted a Huma to my R10 a couple of years ago, it was fine until a few weeks ago when power had dropped. Put the regulator on a tester and output had changed from 85 to 135 bar. I need to strip and rebuild it as I reset it to 85 bar and it appears to have moved again

Sounds like a rebuild is in order 👍🏻
