What Country have you visited that you never want to return to?

Tunisia for us here too.

As said, a complete shithole.

Couldn’t leave the Hotel grounds, well you could but told not to.

Dirty rooms, terraces.

I was in the Gents and the barman came out the cubicle having a smelly No2 and walked straight out without washing hands, saw him later grabbing handfuls of ice and putting in guests drinks.

As a Scotsman , England ;) .

Not a country but an area as the country OK but the area was not . Calais would be a place I would not stay long in again . I was there in 2002 on a bus booze cruise thing , I did not go for the booze but joined my mate who did buy some and Cigarettes .

We were staying in Calais for two days and I was full of idiots ( not just the British who were there ) and pick pockets . One lady with us was almost robbed of her handbag as we sat in a cafe and one of the guys with us managed to grab the guy and get it back but were advised by the cafe owner to leave as he would have been back with his mates .

The tour company took us a few miles to another area that was not much better but no one was robbed this time .

First time I ever left the country, I went to New York wit the Guardian Angels. Obviously, we saw the rough end of the city, and not much of the "touristy" bits. For a while, I wanted to go back and do the tourist stuff, but right now, I don't want to go back to America at all.

Gibraltar, thought it was going to be a throw back to the Good Times, not really, booked a nice Hotel I thought, with balcony and unobstructed Sea view, first morning got awoke by ships Hooters
Went on the balcony there must have been 10 tankers anchored in the bay, went down to breakfast the restaurant rammed with South Asian ships offiers, all yabbering,
Every pub selling Fish and chips, and when a Cruise ship docked, everywhere rammed,
Ghastly, ☹️☹️☹️

I haven't visited so many countries.

Germany, England and Spain is about it.

Of course also Denmark, Finland and Norway but it's pretty much the same as Sweden, Finland is actually a part of Sweden, but a sovereign state at the moment.

English worked fine in Germany and better than I thought in Spain. In England I met several people how didn't speak English at all, that surprised me..

😳

In the Nordic countries I used Swedish, it works everywhere and is the native language for many people living in Finland.

Turkey, what a slum, filthy arrogant people, every where stunk, men spitting, god only knows what they smoke in their cigarettes never smelt anything so bad, food was appalling, 10 days of sickness and belly ache. Beggers everywhere, police with an attitude and don’t even get me started on the fly's. If you look western the only thing their interested in is how much money they can extort. Egypt is a close second for all the above reasons, a guy on our flight had spent the week on IV fluids after contracting dysentery in the 6 star resort.

Gibraltar has been ruined by over building, we went their many a time staying in the Rock Hotel. The people are probably the friendliest most honest I’ve ever encountered. It’s a shame what big business does to UK overseas territories. Great memories but doubt we’d return. One of the best landings on any runway in the world, seeing the British Police come out to meet the aircraft in an armoured LandRover with assault rifle out the top turret, and RAF fighters taking off and landing in between civilian flights.

India. Overflooded with people, dirty, scams everywhere. And Morocco. The constant harassment and haggling in a dirty country. No thanks.

Plus one for Malta, or should that be minus one for Malta. Valletta was one huge building site or as somebody else says a huge demolition site, difficult to tell.
We want to Malta in the 80’s and returned last year, how can a country change so much ? Went on a coach trip and spent hours in road restrictions for building works. Didn’t leave the hotel after that. Would recommend DoubleTree by Hilton all inclusive to any one thinking of going 👍😉
