The AGF 2025 Friendly 10m Pistol Competition

Somewhere between the two shots highlighted is a X. Knowing nothing about pistol shooting they have to be better than the ones off to the left as they show the pistol must have been held perfectly aligned when the shots were taken.

Is my thinking correct?
The pistol looks pretty perfectly aligned horizontally for those two shots, but the majority of the shots show really good vertical alignment, so I'd count the ungrouped shots as fliers. I try not to concentrate too much on individual shots but on the card overall, and on this card I'd say it's mostly really good grouping, but shooting too far to the left. If I carried on with similar groupings I'd adjust the sights and get some amazing scores. (In real life, I find I'm not that consistent and I might group well to the left on one card and the on the right on my next card, which is probably mostly down to me, but possibly down to the plastic sights on the PP800R not staying put very well.)

Correct imo . The card is too scattered to be of much use. The bulk of the group being a bit left. The top and bottom shots are the outliers as I've since adjusted the sights to shift the poi right.

I'll almost certainly end up making more adjustments as I get used to the new grip and setup. Il try making some slight trigger reach adjustment too and just see where it feels best and most consistent scores.

Its 10 shots .. if you are as bad as me you can do all 10 shots on one card as its still easy to score due to all 10 shots just being randomly placed over a 17 * 17 cm surface 😭 . If you are banging in everything in the 10s' the recommendation is 2 cards to make scoring easier

Your left card only has one 10 and your right card actually has two, but your total stays at 90, which is better than I'm going to do given I haven't been able to do any shooting yet this month :(

I put the wrong scores on wrong card when wife was talking to me. That’s why there crossed out and swapped around.

Did you miss it completely for a zero?
I did indeed. I was emboldened by scoring 20 with it at 6 yards but pushing it out to 10m I was unable to find the target.

I had tried it with Econ II but it took more than 1 shot to get it to leave the barrel - I kid you not!

I thought it would give members a bit of a laugh, especially anyone who has shot a G10 and/or Gamo "round" balls.

Second entries for a SSP in .177
Gamo Compact, using Econ II again
And here is the difference between shooting single handed and two-handed...

On the left is my single handed effort, freehold of course; on the right somewhat better with a two-handed grip freehold. Neither is going to frighten the top shooters this month 🤷🏻‍♂️

Two-handed score 75, my excuse is it was getting too dark for proper open sights shooting by then (cf P17 earlier).
