Me and my mate have just restored a HW35 .177 . Turne out very good, will not be getting rid of its a keeper. Good luck with your projectOk everyone a big thank you to @Blackcat83 for donating this HW35 .22
This will be the new forum project like last year to be done up for a younger shooter probably to be given/awarded at a forum meet.
Obviously I will hopefully be looking forward to seeing some members to volunteer to help with it restoring etc and tuning.

I improved my HW 35 by making a stainless one piece spring guide, I compressed the spring worked out the maximum length for the guide chamfered the end and made the diameter to suit the spring as it compressed it lightly gripped the guide and gave a very smooth push making it very accurate. I also bought a .177 barrel for interchangeability. I bought the rifle from the importer at the time around 1977 Optima Scopes advert ran alongside itAny lathe work,or spring guides etc, I'm happy to undertake![]()
