Just catching up on this thread and see your post has gone unanswered. You’re probably absolutely justified in being miffed at all these problems. Is it a brand new rifle?well have had min AW .177 HP 28" for 2 months now, been battling several issues with the gun....
*no oring in barrel, how AOA test shot it without noticing is beyond me
*a regulator set at 140 crept up to 160 bar, that stopped after draining the gun and adjusting it up from 80 to 140 bar again, i can set the reg to 110 bar shoot a bunch put it away and next time i grab the gun its 95-103 bar
*soft first shot, thats 40-80 fps less than what the second shot is, i happens at 90 bar on the reg, and at 150 bar
*cocking handle fell off
*yesterday when i grabbed it, it was empty....so now it has a slow leak that empties the gun over a few days
*didnt come with pinprobe, which i hear it does in europe, the hooded one doesnt allow full flow of the oval transferport
*doesnt balance charge the battery using usb-c, it would have been 50cents to add a bms to the internals
*didnt come with programing usb dodad, which is way overpriced and kinda needed if you rella want to get in to it
*pc software looks like it was developed for windows95, and is clunky to use
*only 1 pellet programmed, why didnt they make profiles for the popular ones in .177 like 8, 10, 13gr ?
i guess the "Alpha" is not as in top dog, but as in alpha-tester
shot a mail off to AOA im done fixing what should have been perfect from factory, its going back then they can deal with it
the good, when it works its incredibly accurate, and love the idea that i can shoot 8gr and 20gr without having to touch regulator
I only compete against myself but it’s even worse a problem for vermin control and stalking…. You only usually get one shot. I make sure my reg is set just above my desired velocity, I set the sleep function off or to its longest on time, I keep toggling the trigger/safety to keep the gun awake, if I’m well down wind I may risk planting a lead seed and hope it doesn’t spook the prey. Other than that, may need to rebuild the reg and firing valve to stop air seeping into the plenum and or clean a sticking valve.how does competition benchrest shooters deal with the weak first shot ?
The Delta wolf battery is removable, and is probably best charged off the gun to enable a balanced charge across the cells. That said it can be charged in place with a USB c connection, it just won't be balanced.Newbie Question!...I have a Redwolf, and dread the battery charge faffle, is the battery removable on the new delta wolf?....or is it plug in direct to rifle?.....
Last one ....can you set the ft/lbs using the screen ?...obviously below 12....but if you set at 11.4 will the rest self adjust to make it so?
I'm literally about to pull the trigger on a month old one , and can't find answers to those 2 questions in the waffle of daystate lol
Oh and thanks in advance,
Thank you, bud....im.hoping it's easier than the redwolf , feel like a brain surgeon getting it out of the gripThe Delta wolf battery is removable, and is probably best charged off the gun to enable a balanced charge across the cells. Not sure on the second one sorry, but I don't think it works that way.
