I have AW and with original daystate 800 mAh battery which last the about 1000 shots same battery in my Redwolf lasts 3000/3500 shots. Its the chrono that eats the battery life in AW/DW. I got around it by uprating battery to 2000 mAh now last about 2500 shots also i changed display on timer as well.
Hi @Redtailhawk
I am looking at changing the battery on my new to me AlphaWolf, as it never charges to full and runs well down after about 10 days.
Just asking whether you still rate those bigger batteries you bought?

I bought six of the cheap batteries three of them only lasted half a dozen charges went back to original batteries in end before i got rid of both of my alpha wolfs. Don't charge the battery on the gun as the battery will not get a balanced charge i used the redwolf charger which gives a balanced charge off the gun.

New to me Alpha Wolf. Shame the are so difficult to tune over 12ftlbs as I have a variation to allow one.

I think looking at Daystate prices it would be cheaper to sell it and buy an FAC rifle from scratch.
Aii that often tends to be the best way, both for power/consistency and your wallet, although they can be hard to come by on ticket but unlike most fac air rifles they hold their price similar to sub 12! (Obviously unless someone is desperate to get rid which does happen!).
Took me a while to find one that had the shorter barrel, only the earliest ones did!
Got one in the end like and wouldn't get rid of it now, I added a few lines to the fac table so I can use it at 600 fps consistently too! Really is a do it all rifle now!

It used to be that a DS dealer could do the upgrade for free or very little if you have an FAC ticket for the rifle.
Aii I seem to remember an offer that they'd do it for free if you purchased a sub 12 while waiting for variations etc.
@Malinois it may be worth emailing daystate, they're ace in any dealings I've had with them.

Anybody think my reg setting is to high on my Alph Wolf, and if so could I alter it myself?

All shots are legal and well away from the 12 flb limit.
Which set should I use?
Again, any advice would be gratefully received.
Don't worry about the battery as it's on charge.

well have had min AW .177 HP 28" for 2 months now, been battling several issues with the gun....

*no oring in barrel, how AOA test shot it without noticing is beyond me

*a regulator set at 140 crept up to 160 bar, that stopped after draining the gun and adjusting it up from 80 to 140 bar again, i can set the reg to 110 bar shoot a bunch put it away and next time i grab the gun its 95-103 bar

*soft first shot, thats 40-80 fps less than what the second shot is, i happens at 90 bar on the reg, and at 150 bar

*cocking handle fell off

*yesterday when i grabbed it, it was empty....so now it has a slow leak that empties the gun over a few days

*didnt come with pinprobe, which i hear it does in europe, the hooded one doesnt allow full flow of the oval transferport

*doesnt balance charge the battery using usb-c, it would have been 50cents to add a bms to the internals

*didnt come with programing usb dodad, which is way overpriced and kinda needed if you rella want to get in to it

*pc software looks like it was developed for windows95, and is clunky to use

*only 1 pellet programmed, why didnt they make profiles for the popular ones in .177 like 8, 10, 13gr ?

i guess the "Alpha" is not as in top dog, but as in alpha-tester

shot a mail off to AOA im done fixing what should have been perfect from factory, its going back then they can deal with it

the good, when it works its incredibly accurate, and love the idea that i can shoot 8gr and 20gr without having to touch regulator

I had issues with my AW and it had to go back to Daystate - turned out the reg was faulty. Whilst at the factory, I was told they set the reg at 103 bar. Having said that, if yours is shooting well, I’d leave it alone.
