Says £650?@RussDouglas222 @GPCBILL (and everyone else) - Why are they so cheap at optics warehouse atm?
I’m not in desperate need of one, but I’m pretty sure I will get one for my springer in the near future (6 months or so), so I’m a little concerned prices may return to what other websites are comment selling for…
… OR will the unavailing of a(nother) superior model further decrease the price?
Happy to take your best guesses as I realise no one can predict the future.
Cheers

Why the 4k Lite is cheap? I'd guess word is spreading that the DNT Zulus 4K really is excellent.SORRY - CORRECTION!! - wrong thread -

Im not much good with the technical aspects @GPCBILL , so hoping you can help. I prefer the Hik solutions for their last/first light colour images. My preference is based on balancing a NV unit with the capability to stalk deer, using the same unit. Thanks @yarns and @Varminter for your feed back.
The 4k has a FHD screen, exactly the same as the V2 so essentially there won't be much difference in the displayed image. Where the 4 k comes into it's own is that it starts off at 3X and zooms up to 24X.
This is achieved by using the 4k sensor rather than a 1080P sensor. The 4K gives and extra level of zoom. If a 1080p sensor was used then the scope would basically be a tubed ZHD312R
The ZT4K was designed to fit into the market where people wanted the tubed style scope rather than the compact Zulus.
So whether it's seen as an upgrade or a side ways move depends on your initial standpoint on tubed or compact.

No worries - and understand the weather situation. The Alpex 4k I had on loan, has been returned so I won't be able to do a side by side. I only had it for 10 days.
The weather up here has been atrocious. It's rained constantly for 3 weeks which isn't the best for scope testing.

"...pretty much dark"... so the ZT4K performed well then showing that much, (and we know as always the display image is better quality. The time should be PM. 5.23, pretty much dark, heavy sleet, in day and night 4K mode.
Objective size isn't everything, with new tech sensor sensitivity can match or even top that.Nothing will topple the big HIK for dusk/dawn or compare at the moment as the HIK is the only one with 50mm objective.
