My big dilemma is….
Get a hw100x then have to cost of scope, mounts, bipod etc, or….
Await some nice hw100’s coming up with people “upgrading” to the x that has all the goodies already on and even a ratworks cylinder or similar so basically very similar gun for a good saving![]()
I've got similar thoughts. I think I must have New Shiny Syndrome.
But there are some buts for me.
I like the look of the laminate, it's even better looking in that woodland green than the old style laminate KT I had. But, wonderful as it was, I sold it.
I like the idea of the increased shot count. But, for that to be a game changer and a gimme, it would have to be a full length and I don't want a full length. I only like the KT.
I like the idea of a 250 bar fill for more shots. But I've never had my existing HW100 converted because it gives me a good enough shot count before I need to refill for me not to care. Also, until I hear differently, the current official claim for the .177 KT shot count is significantly lower than Ratworks and HW100Tuning but in no way significantly enough higher from what I currently get to warrant the investment.
So, currently my head is saying I have no need of one. If I didn't have the gun I have and was inclined to be getting an HW100, it could well be a very different story. That opens up options, as you have highlighted. This X is already exerting downward pressure on non-X prices, which then gives the options of getting a new no-X for a good price or getting a used one and then the next option of whether you want to upgrade it with a 250 bar-capable reg.
