Which pistol next?

Don't worry about diagnosing the leak. I've had the little valve stem seal leak and the seat seal, currently it's leaking out the barrel if there's no pellet loaded you can hear it at the end of the barrel or you can hear and feel it at the breach seal, you can put your finger over the breech seal and stop the leak as you close it.
It was always one of or both of these seals with my previous ASI Compact. I have replaced these seals and fixed it but the fix is only ever short lived. The gun actually came leaking with a selection of seals of different sizes and materials where the previous owner played these games.
I'm sure there are better quality, better material seals out there... Somewhere... ?

Maybe the plastic has so bad tolerances so you can never get a good seal?? I had one back in1994 or so. And it just worked for many years. Never oiled it never did anything.

If you want a good quality gun get a fwb m65. These are really nice.

If you want a fun gun. Get a diana model 5g

I think if you want a really good ssp. Then its the competition guns from walther/fwb/baikal you have to get. And none of those are cheap.

I’ve got the Snowpeak PP30 PCP. It’s at the budget end of the range for dedicated 10m target pistols. As a beginner I’m getting on with it quite well. Was shooting an HW 75 before and find the PP30 easier to aim.

I'm in the same position, basically looking at pistols ranging from the Beeman P17 through to the Snowpeak PP30 and everything in between. I'm wanting something accurate that doesn't break the bank.

How about a CO2 capsule gun, like Tau7. Accurate and consistent as anything and you don't have to faff around with bulk filling gear. I get 70 shots per capsule, so shoot 6 cards per session after a couple warm up shots. Trigger and sights are both top tier quality.

Following a conversation in Dauntsey Guns I was put in touch with a gentleman who has given up shooting and was looking to sell these, as it turned he lives a few miles from me! Strange how these things happen. Both guns have slight issues.

The Walther CPM-1 is probably more what I had in mind. The grip was made by the previous owner to fit him and it's pretty close to my fit. The original grip is included and untouched. Once I know a bit more about what I am doing I might reshape this grip slightly.
This gun leaks from the firing valve, the previous owner was still using it just releasing the cylinder once he'd finished shooting. I will pull the gun apart and inspect the seal just in case it's just dirt but the cylinders are dated 93 and I don't think the gun has been apart before so odds are the seals will need doing.

The Feinwerkbau (is that German for FreindsWithBenefits? I googled FWB ) C55 isn't quite what I had in mind with it's 5 shot magazine and meant for rapid fire competitions which for me would be running before I can walk! It does have it's single shot loader so I'll have fun with it either way. The setup of the magazine indexing could be the fiddle with this one.

Couldn't help myself! Dirty seal and small spec of brass, not sure can make it out top at 1 o'clock.

I cleaned the seal and valve, there's still fine brass dust throughout but the gun is working and seems to be holding Co2.
First shot top right I worked out it's zeroed for sub 6 then there's 5 shots in the black so the group over the 8 is 3 shots!
