Hi,everyone,
I’m currently looking for a perfect airgun/scope that meets my requirements:
1. Powerful enough to shoot rabbit, wood pigeon, pheasant and maybe duck in the UK. So, shooting day and night are possible
2. I prefer very small guns, but don’t want a pistol because I want something more powerful. Don’t mind bullpup, will accept folding stock too provided it is small during storage and transportation
3. Accurate - something for rabbit, wood pigeon, pheasant, duck, maybe I will later decide shooting something else, not at the moment. However, I do not plan any target shooting
4. I’m left-handed, ideally I want something comfortable for me. Would be even greater if it is comfortable for right-handed too
5. No firearm certificate for the UK
6. Something that doesn’t get outdated quickly. Even better if it becomes a classic gun as I intend keeping it for many years - I have Izh-53 pistol for 30 years now in my homeland and use it to shoot wood pigeons, I hope to have the same story with this airgun. And I am ready to spend way more
Not sure if I should have a single shot or multiple shot - I like single shots because they are self-contained, but fine with multiple too as they have lighter moving parts and this is better for accuracy
Do not know about the budget, but my biggest regret is buying something again because I outgrew it or it keeps breaking and fear I one day run out of money and hence I had better buy good gear now and keep it forever. I tend to buy something that exceeds my capability not only for now, but for the future too. I spent customing my Izh-53 more than a price of several brand new izh-53, but I like it because it shoots now further and still accurately
I read about KalibrGun and AirMaks Krait, they seem to be good, but don’t know what you think
What would be your recommendations?
And how do you recommend selecting gun? Go down to a shop and try various guns or simply buy online for home delivery? Should I choose scope separately from the airgun, or this should be a combination?
What else I should buy for airsoft hunting? I recently started deer stalking and bought Swarovski NL Pure 8x42 binoculars and Pulsar Axion 2 XG35 LRF thermal, now thinking to get myself British army trousers, Austrian GoreTex M65 jacket, army webbing and pouches to keep everything on my waist, gaiters and IFAK
Many thanks
