Sambas, Gazelles or retro ASICS for the office. Only wear modern trainers for actual sport, all the modern stuff looks ridiculous, but needs must and all that.

That's why the last pair that I got new were a birthday present about 10 years ago

It used to be adidas Kick when I were a lad! I had a pair of SL72s at one point, in Blue, of course, I missed them second time round, the only "trainer" I've worn consistently for the last 40 odd years are HiTec Squash

I still have my Samba super's from the 1990s in the loft . I have not worn them since the middle of the 1990s and don’t know why I kept them .
I used to wear them to work in the factory building IBM computers .
They were great for learning to drive in also as they were narrower than my other footwear. If i wore other footwear I oaten caught two pedals where as the Samba's stopped it .

I just got them from the loft . They were from the time when they were not made as cheap as they are now.
