Had an idea from another thread. I know at least six people I spend time with at the coast in a certain club wear Adidas Samba and have done all their life.
We regularly talk about the different colours available.
I now know there are two Samba lifers on this forum, myself and another forum member.
Are there any more Samba lifers on the forum?

I still have my Samba super's from the 1990s in the loft . I have not worn them since the middle of the 1990s and don’t know why I kept them .
I used to wear them to work in the factory building IBM computers .
They were great for learning to drive in also as they were narrower than my other footwear. If i wore other footwear I oaten caught two pedals where as the Samba's stopped it .

Love the look of samba's but I had a pair back in the day and they were never comfortable for me. I much prefer a handball spezial now. So comfortable. For classics I prefer gazelles

Posers!
Posers I tell ye
For playing footie it had to be the almost identical Bamba

I have to confess to owning a pair of those for nigh on two years and they ain't been out of the box , only to check over.

Chroist ive got a problem i think , and its worse than my air rifle addiction 🤪

Problem with Samba, Mamba and their similar designs is that they've now been adopted by the fashion crown that did the same with Converse and Vans. Not a bad thing for the corporation as it makes them millions but those that grew up with these trainers and have a bond to them, like me and those I know that are onto the sneaker thing, it takes a bit of magic away from them.

If you're someone that's not bothered about it then you'll just throw them away when the next trend hits.

With all that said, I've always preferred Jeans, Munchen and Olympia S to Samba👌 but as they say horses for courses ✌️

Years ago I would live in my adidas sambas, I had a green pair and a blue pair, due to the massive hike in trainer prices (I mean hi-tek and fila now touching £100 is a joke) I haven’t had any in a while, but when a shop closed down near me I thought it would be rude not to buy these at £34.
