Just wondering about tinkering with it and voiding the warranty if it’s leaking air from the get go?
How much has it dropped?Just wondering about tinkering with it and voiding the warranty if it’s leaking air from the get go?
Likely to be oring lube if its been slathered onThere’s a lot of oil around the regulator/cylinder joint.
Well, I pumped it to 120bar first day just to see and it had dropped to 80 next day. I’ve just put 250 in it and done 40 shots and back up to 250 to see if it holds but it looks like the needle is creeping down….How much has it dropped?
I think I was just watching your YouTube videos about it - is that you, with the dog?I have done nothing to mine, not even cleaned the barrel
It’s my first use of a stirrup pump on a pcp, I’m wondering if the heat of the pumping causes it to drop off a bit as it cools?
Thanks for this, I’m expecting a bit of a dip because of temperature and wot not but it was quite a bit less overnight. 40 bar less? 120-80.You may see it settle 5-10 bar depending on the gauge, but that sounds like a leak to me
Dang.If it’s dropping 40 bar overnight then it is leaking

Yes: “hasn’t got the brains he was born with”.Maybe, is the dog an idiot?
Pop a ballon over the barrel and over the gauge end of the air tube(it will stretch to fit) give it 24hrs .Well, I pumped it to 120bar first day just to see and it had dropped to 80 next day. Thanks I’ll give it a go.Pop a ballon over the barrel and over the gauge end of the air tube(it will stretch to fit) give it 24hrs .
If its neither of those some minor stripping will be needed.
Very easy to work on though.
Cost will be pence for the orings
I think the first thing I’d do is put the lightened hammer spring in, and turn the Reg in about 1/4 to 3/8 of a turn. That should easily put you legal. Then test with Exact Heavies or Bisley magnums to see how close to legal you are. The other common changes usually add more power. They will still help your rifle fire more smoothly and consistently, so are worth the effort.Well (cheap) chronoed my .22 Ap1000 when I first got it and it was running a little spicey for my liking at 11.6/11.7ft/lb with JSB Exacts.
Added a few 3d external mods in black. Internally gave it a good clean . It really did need it BTW. Accuracy improved slightly but it wasn't bad to begin with .
A couple of friends wanted to borrow my chrono to check their rifles at our permission so it was out I checked mine again.
Same pellets etc . Now it's running VERY hot . With ZERO internal shenanigans being done except the barrel clean.
Before I fit the lightened hammer spring and dive into TP and reg tuning is there some other factor or problem I should be looking at to correct this "problem" shall we say ?
