Important SALES SECTION - THE RULES AND PROCEDURES - *Latest Update 04/26*

What is the difference? We’ve already dealt in private? I was being courteous by simply saying it’s sold. Anyhow, your train set, your rules. I get it. Like I said earlier. I’ll try harder

The difference is, we ask that the buyer says yes please on the thread.

Theyre the rules.
The rules you agreed to when signing up.
The rules that have always existed.
The rules everyone else follows.

I have looked at a few items of interest and felt they were slightly overpriced. I haven't bothered making an offer, instead I have waited for the bumps and price drops. A few times it has been very near to the price I would be willing to pay and someone posts PM sent. I then think do post Yes Please or let it go, I won't be the only one doing this.

When it comes to getting a better price or negotiating I find it much easier to post on the wanted section. I think I have posted 6-7 wanted adverts and had at least three very good results, the best one being an unused AIM bag for £75 posted - It was offered at that price and I jumped at it
Sounds more like a Dutch auction

I think you roll the dice and take your chance if you want to haggle, I have missed out because of it and don't mind is what it is.

The ones that get me are the posting yes please at the same time and just missing out damn my internet👊

When you accept by direct message you get a two week ban! 👌 at least I did .. So asking people not to comment on sales posts then banning you for replying to a DM.. Harsh rules.

As said before you can negotiate on PM... but unless you say 'yes please ' on the sales thread ONLY.... you are likely to go on gardening leave.

that is exactly the difference, dealing in private is NOT ALLOWED, how hard can it be
Actually your rules are saying you can deal in private as long as the buyer says “yes please”. On the sale post 😄 amazing… I get it 👏

I don't know about the rest of members but I'm getting a bit sick of this. There will be kickball on the telly in a few days to entertain the masses. Meanwhile there are always cartoons.

I was the seller 😄 I put “Sold” before the buyer could put “YES PLEASE…….” Hence the ban… You’re certainly a friendly bunch 👏 Half expecting another spell in the clink or a barrage of wall butting memes for my incompetence. I’ll download the rule book and spend an evening trying to achieve your excellent knowledge level.

I would quit whilst your ahead bud, you rightly had a ban, keep going over it is just showing your reluctance to abide by our very simple rules.

Happy to expand to a permanent sales ban if it helps.

Sarcasm is definitely the lowest form of wit…
It’s not necessary, considering you are using a tried and tested part of the forum that is for the benefit of the community on here.

The Sales section, which happens to be free, is moderated for the protection of members on account of the rules that are in place.

The Moderating team volunteer their time to ensure things run smoothly and fairly for everyone.

It would be good if you could appreciate this fact and move on.

Thank you.
