Yes, a bacon butty/roll is great. An egg roll is great. Combine the two? and get culinary heaven.
But, must be fresh bread/rolls, must be buttered, with butter (not margarine), egg must be fried, and still just a bit runny, bacon must not be cheap she-ite, (eg: loads of water leeches out when cooked). It must be good quality bacon, can be back or streaky.
Mushrooms can be added if required, along with Heinz ketchup or HP sauce or English mustard.
Must be served with a huge mug of tea, strong with two sugars.

I am going deconstructed, 2 eggs over easy double bacon tinned tomatoes the most expensive you can find 3 slices of thick buffered toast and a mug of tea and 3 drips of vinegar on the tomatoes Taxi

Good thick proper bacon is a must as are decent fresh rolls & proper eggs & butter. But the secret ingredient for the ultimate bacon & egg roll is Steam & coal.
I built a steam launch once & sea trials on the Chelmer involved bacon rools cooked on the firebox shovel, Clean shovel, dob of butter in it plus bacon, In the firebox for about 20 seconds, out & crack the egg into it, back in the firebox for another 15 seconds or so, out & in the buttered roll, add ketchup or brown sauce & consume. The coal dust & steam gives it an indefineable lift that Heston Blumenthal himself would find hard to replicate.

A few "proper" sausages, mushrooms, bacon, black pudding, baked beans, fried tomatoes, HP sauce and a couple of (proper) heavily buttered, thick slices of white bread to mop the juices up.
FFS - panceta?, pizza?, torpedo rolls?, grits?
For crying out loud, some twonks gonna suggest brown bread next.

I'm paying the price now healthwise of all the fry-ups from over the years too.
