Mito Findings (so far)

Only just seen this thread. Amazing how I’ve missed it and what I miss!!! Great write up!!
I bought one on release with stock the mito s for £450, then added mounts, bought a red dot optisan and UTG bug 3-12x32(great little scope!). Idea was quick release and swap about , but found it was too accurate for my red dot optisan (£130 in sale from £200) with my astigmatism.
Threw a hw mod on and very quiet. Very comfy grip and nice design stock, with admittedly a little annoying play which can be fixed if wanted . Bought a medium case now so it would fit!
Easily 5p groups at 25 and 30 when I tried a couple of times (zero is 18).
Negatives for me , single loader although works, is cheap crap. So thanks to another member @workshyfop1972 putting a carm order in, I got a couple of mito singles . Why 2? Well since then I also bought one in the sale but a mito w this time. As wanted less carbine and more just pistol .

Still I used the optisan red dot, that had been sat there annoying me as a waste . Then got lucky with a laminate find, and I really wanted the orange ,but beggars can’t be choosers and happy enough with blue.
Love it! No regret paying original price other than idea was to save money with a hw44 only to surpass it with accessories anyway.😅

Changed since this pic, removed the raiser and gone direct onto the dove for UTG scope with high mounts.

Hi

got my 177 Mito s last week for £350 new.

Two sessions and loving it.

So far Bought..

The bay 3d mito under rail 26 quid del. Fits well but does rotate few degrees. Will sort.

Took a punt on a 3d smk P15 handle 12 quid del and made it fit. I think from guy on here via the bay...JB something. Quality is great.

Got a 3d uk mag on the way but watching for carm group buy. I have them and love them for my FX Dreamline....

Tomorrow trigger tune...The trigger is stiff.

Bought the longer m3 grub screw mentioned here and ill will polish the sears.

I have .3 and .4 wire thickness compared to the .6 springs shipping atm. I'll try to post links here.

Pellet testing so far in ordered of success...20m and 30m so no pics I wrecked targets with all the testing.

20m and limited testing at 30m
RWS Supermags field lines (only had a 100 from a 2016 gun purchase but I managed under 5p at 30m in the wind today with 6 shots ordered more....)
RWS Hobbies (100s of shots, got 5ftlbs and good groups at 20)
HN FTTs (looking promising)

It's still great at 20 with ...
Crossman Accupels. (had a few from 2003 @ 20m they were cloverleaf)
QYS streastreamlines
AA exacts 52s.

Crap with JSB express and RS. And RWS Meisterkugeln surprisingly. AA exacts .50.

Early days on tesing.. heres the money shot..

The Mito 177 W fitted with 2-8 pistol scope using Carm single shot loader and HW100 moderator.
Zeroed at 10 yards and using JSB Exacts 8.44 - 4.53.
Excellent grouping and 20 yards is nearly the same point of aim. Past this you have to add clicks but all is good to 40 yards but not beyond (as expected).
Have tried various pellet makes and shapes but still settled on the JSB 8.44 as the best suited.
A few pellet types didn't probe through cleanly and all that did this were not accurate. Tried some high quality flat heads and these were excellent at 10 yards but not beyond (again as expected). Getting on for about 100 shots per fill which is much more than I expected.
After about 150 to 200 shots the accuracy fell away, the pressure was OK so I cleaned the barrel, bloody filthy. All OK again after cleaning.
I will now start weighing out approximately 150 pellets and clean the barrel after using them all.
All in all, I am very happy with this pistol (and the 22 version).
John, how do you clean your barrel ?

I bought some 3mm diameter carbon fibre rod and notched one end to take some 100lb breaking strain kevlar thread.
Looped the thread over the notch, slid rod down barrel and hooked off thread from rod with wooden toothpick then remove rod.
Slip patch through thread loop and pull through.
The same method can be used on rifles, just need a longer rod and this also removes the need to use a straw as a guide.

Currently sold out but to whom it may interest you can buy the stock and grip separate.

Excellent, I am always concerned not to damage the O ring.
I will try this method 🙂

Did a bit of plknking in the garden yesterday, accuracy....yes, cocking......getting much better, trigger...........hmm 🤔, something will have to be done about that, it's so stiff I keep thinking the safety catch us on the first time I shoot it

@Rich79 , ditto on all the above. Trigger really does need to be lightened.

How many have had the cylinder off ? When mine was removed remnants of seal no.81 fell out and bits of it was in the end of the regulator hole!!

Can’t be 100% certain but I’d put money on it being a Nuprol Medium Hardcase with pluck and pick foam. Can be had for around £70 from Amazon or some of the airsoft online companies.

They are great cases.
