Logun MK1, Revamp Pimp my Logun :-)

Get your imagination head on... Anodising can be done with food colourings... So bright blue... Green... Red... You imagine it... You can do it.
Keep us updated 😁
This is exactly the sort of thing I do... Lol.
I feel your pain.

I tricky to be honest.... Me personally I like the chrome look it just a pain to keep clean, as I said I am going to try a small part first?
but I do like the gold and black too, the problem I have is what ever is done it's staying that way.

I don't want to risk, stripping the coating of again as I said in earlier post it changed everything power wise.

Very nice Pete 🙂👍

Only one comment though chap . i would have hand stripped the cylinder with1200 wet/dry .
no way would i chemically strip a ali cylinder . ali can be really dodgy stuff around chemicals .
.

As for up grades 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 see @Mark Palmer . he does a wonderful line in coloured laggy bands /duck tape /and foam add ons 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Ps. It looked lovely in polished Ali . dont listen to them lot there all very strange 🤣😂🤣😂

I design and build them from scratch . there titanium and 7075A T6511.
Try the brown soap polish on a bench mop .
i do the steel of my barrels with that and it looks after the steel really well

The clue should have been in your name :-) either way very nice even more so knowing you made them yourself....

This part is bothering me now :-( as i must dip them in acid to anadise them again, I take it, this will be ok as it adding
a coating not stripping it off?

I did wonder if you had giving lessons in the shiny stuff 😂🤣😅😅
Good tip about the cylinder for everyone I would imagine it could end badly.

Yes mate it should be fine . the anodizing should have been checked in the original manufacturers specs for the rifle.

following my last post see attached the learning curve wow once you get the hang of anodising it's doable
for small parts ye pretty simple. The problem starts when you get to larger parts / more surface area to do.

When i get the time i will update on what i did wrong and what worked.

For now see pictures of pink paradise lol anyone that has watched phoenix nights will relate to this :)

one thing i will say this gun has more different grades of aluminium, the scope rail no matter what i tried
i could on just get some colour into it, and its very time consuming as i did everything part by part apart from the small stuff.

the gun is very different, me personally i can live with it it not exactly as i planned lol at the end of the day, this was a lot of trial and error as i have never done this before, also note: prep is everything when doing this as i found out :-(

ITS very PINK lol
