Let's see your watches

You could remove the bracelet and put a generic one one on for less than twenty quid off fleabay or maybe replace it with a nice leather band, Would be a shame to get rid 🥺

John..
I bought the Tag back in 1998 to celebrate getting a job with EDS, so I don’t think I’ll ever get rid, but yeah. Maybe I should just get a nice new bracelet.

Cheers John.

I only have a small watch collection, they are all watches I love and wanted. Some were cheap, some less so….

This is currently the cheapest (another one will take it’s place on that particular podium soon), but it makes me smile when I look at it. I’m off to a Brocante to search for 1980’s Seikos in a bit, so wanted something less flashy!😁

Fyi, I am recycling the photo I took for the Bond thread on Thursday. I’m Environmentally friendly, me!😉

My Bulova Lunar Pilot and Lunar Pilot Blood Moon edition. Brilliant watches with a bit of history behind them. One of only two types of watch that have actually been to the moon, the other being the Omega Speedmaster.

Bulova make some hideous watches but they also make a few bangers.
Here's a couple of "Racer Chronos" that I really like. Not the best functionality (no running seconds and that ubiquitous 24hr dial) but I love the look of them and they feel like quality pieces.

Contact an authorised Tag Heuer dealer, and ask them to get a price for a couple of extra links, you'll have to give them the model/serial number of the watch and possibly any identification number on the bracelet if it exists. Most decent watch brands still supply spare parts for older watches (within reason), and they shouldn't cost too much either. I have previously purchased spare links and end links from both Tudor and Breitling and both only charged about £20 each. So for perhaps a little over £40 you could have the original bracelet fitting comfortably.

If one dealer won't help, then find another. I got Tudor links from Fraser Hart Jewellers (Milton Keynes), and Breitling from Pragnell Jewellers (Leicester) who were particularly helpful and didn't even charge for postage.

I've a couple of Bulova, I think this Precisionist is a bit ugly but I quite like the rest!

Sorry about the poor quality pics, I'm pretty rubbish with a camera! 😕

I've also a 1970's Accutron Hummer and a 1950's fancy lug Bulova too 👍

Is that some sort of rip-off/mod of the Casio AE1200 ? The Casio ‘Royale’ as it is known for its association with Casino Royale.

…which is the greatest, most functional, and best value watch ever made IMO.

For £35 a serious watch collector should not be without a AE1200, but would then likely ditch the rest of their collection.

Not really, it’s more a rip off of the Seiko Sports 100 from Octopussey
