Well since buying the new Pard nightstalker EX 4k a few people have asked what its like , is it better than the alpex 4K blah blah .

We ive knocked up a little video , its really nothing special but it give you something to chew the fat over .

Right im not sure what the pic quality will be like , bear in mind the original video of both is spot on

This is hardly a true test its just out the back window at the inlaws house

Both using the same IR on the same setting , i just swapped between the Two .
The pard was on its default setting , literally as it came out of the box as i havent suused out the settings yet.

Another to keep in mind the alpex vid looks a lot bigger than the pard , its actully the other way round the pards display is massive compared the the alpex .

Alpex 1920x1080 round OLED

Pard 2560×2560 round OLED

they just play back in differnt formats. But after looking down the pard the alpex display looks like a little box at the end of a tunnel .

Sorry about wobbling , i was holding them , not mounted.

Alpex up first then followed by pard

So you decide .

pard looks better in my opinion sharper , even though the same ir and setting was used it seems too bright on the alpex??

Like i said Tim , absolutly zero science was involved in the making of these video 😂😂
But yes i agree the pard seems to give the best results in this case.

Lol.... I bet your neighbours bloody love you zooming in on bedroom windows with night vision ! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Like the look of it mate but can’t find any details about weight. Like the fact that the range finder comes off, handy when putting in a slip or case.

Thanks Steve, couldn’t find all that for some reason. Weight seems good, under kg and a good runtime. I’m toying with the Nocpix Bolt 25 but this could be an option. Thanks mucka

I used to love my pard until i saw the light..............and went Thermal scope and spotter.................it now feels I'm cheating when i go out bunny bashing 😊

@One on top of two … how you getting on with it … ? …still loving it 😻!
No its gone back , had a load of issues with it on sat , kept crashing and to keep putting data back in , crashed three times and then i gave up on it , also had a bit of crap on back of objective lens which kept moving as i was adjusting the mag .
Anyway its gone back for refund .

Yeah shit happens mate .i was also struggling with the focus , i just couldn't quite get it . Picture went soft and slightly out of focus .

Wait for the nocpix D70R to come out and see how that fairs .and take it from there .
Blackwoods has been sound about it and said send it back .

I have to say I'm on the verge of sending mine back also, depending on what Ian (@Blackwood Outdoors ) comes back with from his conversations with Pard. I've not experienced the problems you have, but mine simply refuses to record the shot regardless as to what the recoil level is set to in the recoil record menu. It will record the footage up to the shot but not the actual shot itself which is pretty pointless in my opinion. Also my cant indicator is showing 6 degrees of cant when the scope is level.
I zeroed my mates .243 the other day fitted with his Alpex 4k and subsequently zeroed my .223 with my Pard Night Stalker 4k Ex fitted and there is no doubt in my mind that the view through the Pard viewfinder is superior, but I think that has possibly more to do with the size of the much larger viewfinder in the Pard than anything else. The Pard also seems to have more contrast than the Alpex out of the box, but the contrast is adjustable in the Alpex whereas it isn't in the Pard. The other thing I find annoying with the Pard is the absence of an Auto Record option whereby when enabled the scope records the moment it's turn on (doesn't record when asleep). Even the DS35's have this option. I'm also at a loss as to why the scope has two ballistic calculators. I have a suspicion most folk will simply use the auto version whereby you just enter all the relevant data and the scope does the rest. I can't see many, if anybody, shooting to loads of various distances, measuring the bullet drop and then entering that into the calculator which, unless I've misunderstood how it works, that's exactly what you would need to do with the 'other' ballistic calculator. Unfortunately there is no user manual with the scope so it's all a bit guesswork. I've never been overly impressed with the software or quality control in any of the Pard night vision scopes (or addon for that matter), but I was hoping Pard may have upped there game with the Night Stalker 4k Ex. Not looking too promising at the moment.

Well I think I’m put off buying one now ….
I still use my 2 ds’s with no problems whatsoever since they first came out …and for airgun ranges they’re fine …. not the best …but still good ..

The alpex light is out for me …

Anyway… the next move I think is to wait n see what the zt4k turns out like 😊👍
