How hard to fill a PCP using a Pump?

260cc cylinder. From 100 to 200 bar takes about 10 minutes and 120-140 pumps.
Good calorie burner if you like that sort of thing. I wonder how many people still pump up their car tyres with a manual pump? I have an electric one but use compressed air at the garage when I want them doing properly before a long journey.

Tyre pressure is a completely different proposition. I have this foot pump that is 35 to 40 years old and I have only had to change the connector to the tyre valve.

I will place a bet that I can get my tyres checked by the time you have your electric pump setup and ready to go.

Mine is in the glove box and plugs into cigarette socket. It's an RAC one. Good thing is, if its chucking down with rain I can sit in the car and watch the gauge through the window. You're getting a soaking. 😂

Hi,
A month or so ago I bought a Walther RM8 from a chap at work. It came with a small divers bottle and seems to be a great set up except due to work and family I have not yet zeroed it in. I have fired 8 shots but tomorrow is the big day and I will hopefully get it up and running.
Even before purchasing this kit which came up randomly I had decided to buy a Gamo rifle which came with a pump so I have to ask how long does it take to fill an average PCP? I don't live near a shop to fill the divers bottle and I'm not that keen on it so... is a pump a viable option?
Thanks in advance... any tips on which pump would be handy, obviously the cheaper the better.

See short video here, see linky:
On average it takes about one full (up and down) pump to put one bar into the cylinder, so if charging from 150 to 200 (50 bar) it will take about 50 pumps, if charging from 100 to 200 (100bar) it will take about 100 pumps.
NB: This assumes a similar pump to mine in the video, eg Hills mk4 - 3/4stage pump. Not all pumps are equal!
:)

Yeap I have to get rid of 9 kg's so the more I pump the better it is :D however yeah I find it quite easy, but as somebody mentioned here you heart rate goes up so need to wait a bit before you can shoot, however I do vape and drink while shooting so my heart rate is up anyway and can't complain about accuracy :)

I wasn't that bad! bit out of breath yes! Lol..... everyones a critic..... ;)
In my defence, I am nearly 60, and unfit and overweight, but I still managed it and look at the speed of that pumping, not speeded up at all, erm, well.....:ROFLMAO::LOL:

Where’s the motor that runs the pump 🤷‍♂️!

Having watched the video it looks like it can be done but the guy sounds shattered! I need to lose weight so....I sent for the pump but I am now beginning to question my life choices! Still I have a dozen springers waiting to take the place of the pcp...

Honestly mate, give one a go. As you say, if you don't get on with it then you can always have it as a backup.
I think as we get older, it's wiser to grab exercise where you can, and these really don't wear you out as much as some would have you believe, plus, if you're getting tired, just stop and have a break.
Also, it's been mentioned that your heart rate will be all over the place, well yes that maybe true, but if it hasn't settled in a few minutes then alarm bells should be ringing anyway.

Lol, it was me, and it really wasn't that bad! I think my heavy breathing was close to the mike, so it sounded worse than it was!
I am unfit but I can easily do it, honest, despite the heavy breathing.... (y)

Mate I would just splash out and buy a bottle I did 👍

My opinion😁 if you gonna use a pcp bite the bullet get a bottle

Pumps to me were a required art which I didn't have

I actually enjoyed the video as I had bought the pump minutes earlier...

Easy just don't got hell for leather 40 bar 5 min rest, 40 bar 5 mins rest etc etc etc you'll get there in the end 🤣👍

Don't get the pump hot it won't last long 👌 I pumped for years I'm relatively fit so weren't a problem however now have a compressor 😂
