Guns with great triggers or not so...

The Original 50 trigger, I'm just going to say it and I don't care about the backlash I get.

The old 3 ball trigger is very good, I would say the only place it falls down in contrast to the Rekord is the fact you have to disassemble it to service the rifle, which makes what should be a simple job a bit of a ball ache.

As someone with a soft spot for the old Relums or swamp donkey one of my first, ok there not the best triggers but I've always set mine heavy even removing the trigger adjustment screw & spring, so at least there very predictable, I've done loads of plinking with old Relum's there pretty accurate once you get used to them & loads of fun, but I will propose an even worse trigger of all time & that is the Bailkal IJ38 it's just so heavy man! But as the saying goes there's no bad tool only bad workman obviously not accusing you of that dear chap, but to effectively shot it & try to be accurate it really teaches you to deal with a lot of issues & variables infact anyone troubled with there triggers should have a plinking session with the old IJ38! She's just awful😳

The Relums are actually surprisingly well built rifles despite their reputation I quite like them for what they are. I found in regard of the triggers, adjust them sensibly and they aren't the lightest but they are predictable.

The IJ38 - it wasn't the weight that is annoying but the sheer amount of creep before release, if that could be adjusted out they wouldn't be too bad.

I've done that once, I used pins to keep everything together once taken out & grease to hold the balls in place, yes it's not as service friendly as the HW but a service is a minute amount of time on the scale of it, I'd rather have the better trigger when I actually shoot it.

SMK B2 ... Dreadful trigger. Homer face palm
It had a pull weight which felt like it had a suspension spring from a Ford Transit van, and a totally unpredictable let-off point.

The spring was replaced with one from a ball-point pen. . A massive improvement.

I don’t know if it’s already been mentioned but the biggest shame is the trigger on the AA S200 ☹️.

The S200 is a fantastic rifle but the trigger is horrible. It’s not heavy, it’s just not very smooth. I know some have managed to make it better but out of the box it’s certainly not the best.

That’s the trigger like on the AA X200 Vanguard?

Oh yeah the worst, I think you can excuse old springers outside of proper matxh rifles, HW & Diana/Original, they were all rubbish to be fair.
What I can't understand in the modern day & age despite its cheapness is why the Reximex Mito trigger is such a pile of shite.

The first time i cocked and loaded it and tried to squeeze off a shot I though the safety catch was still on!
I know it's cheap but is there any excuse with a modern pcp?
It's not holding back much is it?

It's better than the Reckord.

Come at me, I'm ready.
Wow brave fellow! Great design though the triple ball set up Diana came up with an awful lot of airgun designs were from them, i was always suprised when I found out the Webley MK3 was a copy from an earlier German model pre ww2 I'm sure🤔 that had a superior trigger that was down graded for the UK 🙄as per usual!
