Guns with great triggers or not so...

Best trigger i have is my Anschutz 2002, FTP900 is good but not played with it yet.
Got a HW77 with fettled Rekord unit just superb and a prosport with CD unit on par with the Rekord unit.
I have a few Bsa pcp's and once fettled with lighter spring and polished sears are ok but not close to any of the above.

1st Anschutz 2002
2nd CR-X
3rd Mach 1
4th Walther Dominator
5th Steyr LG110
6th FWB P70
7th Daystate GP
8th EV2 Mk4
9th Pro Target
10th CR 97

Based on rifles I have owned and shot extensively.
No 3 may raise a few eyebrows, it was astonishing- @Rikard now owns this particularly wonderful version of Peak Venom loveliness(y)

Anschutz 2002 and UR Quattro-Germanic loveliness.(y) Throw in a peak Claudia Schaeffer and I would be a very, very, very happy chappy:love:

The 5065 4k match trigger on the anschutz 9015 is about the best there is. I loved mine . I do agree about the relum telly though being blooming awful and about the worst there is and yes I've had one of those too.

Of the ones I've used:
Best trigger in practice, Steyr LG110/Challenge.
Ok when fettled, HW100.
Just about ok, I suppose, after a lot of work, HFT 500.
Meah, BRK Ghost.
Utter shite, DS Redwolf, FX Bobcat.

Actually I like the Redwolf trigger alot.

Better that the black wolf Dell?
Yes mate.

Can tune BW trigger down below 8oz. Had mine down to 6 with a glass-like break - but a stock bump on the floor set it off 😔. Not great then sadly.

Have re-adjusted back up to 8oz exactly (as per Daystates stats stating 8 minimum) with the same glass break.. just not quite as dodge. Still a bloody lovely trigger.

Rapid trigger is sublime tho. Can have that right down to like 4oz with totally clean break. Too much so even, so have increased that one up to 6.

My FWB300su has one of the nicest triggers I've ever used, very light and very crisp.
Likewise the trigger on my HW40 is very light and crisp, never touched/adjusted either of them myself, they are both just perfect IMHO.

I think the worst trigger I've ever used was the Crosman Phantom, I've shot two of them (other peoples) and they were both so heavy and bloody awful!

As field guns go...The Hatsan Quattro springer trigger when well set up and a bit of a polish and lube is very nearly CD and Rekord performance.
BSA Scorpion ,when fettled and a Rowan trigger is in HFT 500 territory and my AT44 isn't that far off either but would improve with a Rowan type ..or a dremmel reshape...must remember to sort it.
Worst ever ..Webley Vulcan Mk1

You had to trust in The Force when shooting a Relum :)
Was lucky to never buy one...restored & serviced a mates dad's old tornado he wanted to keep after his dad died, wondered why it wouldn't group after my efforts then noticed the front sight canting over more with each shot.... The barrel was loose in the breech , !

My Anchutz 9015 trigger is amazing, pity the rest it isn’t, my favourite though is my FWB 300su, my AA 400 is very good after some work as is my LGV, the impact 4 is very nice as well, don’t have a bad trigger in my small (ish) collection as I get shut of anything I cannot make pretty good.

Is the impact a true 2 stage, or has it the sprung grub screw 2 stage?

The best trigger from my little collection is on my 1919 BSA Model D, closely followed by the Sheridan Blue Streak, and the worst 1946-47 BSA Cadet.
