I was trying to concentrate on my trigger action today. It's going to be a slow process😅.

But got me wondering what guns you've had and what their triggers are like.

I, for one, was surprised the FX DRS didnt have a true 2nd stage, but found it quite nice.

I wasnt a fan of the Alpha wolf electric trigger. Worked great but left me cold.

I cant remember the trigger on the ghost. I presume it had one 😂.

The trigger on the Krait seemed to break very nicely. It was one of the easiest to adjust which surprised me for a buildup.

In two minds about the trigger on my Steyr Hunting 5. I find it too heavy and ai dont think it breaks cleanly enough. But it is a hunting gun..

So what are other triggers like?

Apparently the HW100 trigger is very good?

Best mechanical one I've had was on my FWB mod 5 CO2 pistol, loved the trigger on a mk 3 daystate I had for a weekends trial , like my merlyns trigger set up by the previous owner though it was a tad light till I reset it a bit heavier ,& my two rekords on my 50s & 35 set up by me too. Worst ones I've had were on lightnings though even after careful tuning, shimming out the side play etc they were still hit & miss.

Ds triggers are OK, both electric and mechanical, might need a tweak here and there but mostly ok.
Steyr best I've shot with as yet.. But I've not tried many other rigs.
Hw100 OK, hw77 nice when set up to suit me.
I had Steyr UK send me new springs and grub screws for my 5a.. no idea what was in there before, and got ut set up beautifully on the bench. Super light. Fitted ot all and it went wrong. So set it back to heavy again and didnt play again. I might have another go this evening.

Do we consider newer daystate and brk to be the same when it comes to triggers? Just thinking back to the ghost and I really cant remember.. all I can remember is the silly hammer bounce noise 😅

My HW100 trigger with Rowan blade took a bit of setting up over a few range visits but is perfect for me now. My Original/Diana mod 75 trigger is just another level of perfection!

No idea the huntsman classic I had one of the early harper valve ones was nice too after I set it up correctly but that & my 2003 merlyn are the most recent ones I've used. Think the merlyn one was tuned by Fred the previous owner who won the nefta with it the year before he sold me it. I got it cheap as he had very short arms & had sawed an inch off the butt. Had it extended by Paul wilson locally then swapped the stock + some cash for a mint tiger striped thumbhole off a mate.

For me, the trigger on the Anschutz 9015 is the best I've experienced, closely followed by the one fitted to the Steyr LG110 / Challenge

But for a sporting PCP, the trigger on the Daystate Regal takes some beating

Very good triggers on all 3 of my springers.

A tad spongy on the TX but still very nice and light.

98 breaks nicely and crisply.

But my Cometa is the best balance, just the right weight and breaks like glass.
The first one was ok-ish, cut a long story the new one they sent me has bedded in beautifully.

Wasn't overly impressed with my (sold) S400

BSAs were too heavy

90 was great

Theoben Olympus was a pig.

Worst ever:- Relum Tornado & Telly - if you've ever shot one, you will know !
The one in the old telly my older brother had was even worse after he crammed an airsporter spring into it but christ he was still a great shot with it on the crude open sights.

The Impact M4 trigger is real good when set up nicely in match mode, the Leshiy 2 is a bit strange, but I found it easy enough to get used to 👍
