Goyojo GS515 day/night scope

Has a reply from Goyojo, apparantly some scopes having a green hue is normal and within range . As i say not the end of the world but something worth keeping in mind . I suppose it reflects the price point to an extent.

I get sent some pretty expensive gear for testing, which is nice. When I got this I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. I had to check the price several times before making the video, as I was sure I must’ve made a mistake!😁

I still love my DNT Zulus v2 scopes (that I bought with my own money), and the 4k tubed is a thing of wonder!
But at this price point the Goyojo brings digital to everyone, that has to be a good thing!
Hi

Got a Goyojo GS515 a few weeks ago with your code (thanks very much), I have had issues with the zero in IR mode. Zeroed in daylight, all well and good, accurate and consistent at the required range (around 17 yds), but shift to IR (big focus adjustment) and the shot goes 20mm right and 6mm down. Tested and tested but this is consistent. I can't imagine this is how it is supposed to work, can you confirm? Goyojo are not being helpful, even after sending lots of videos and stills to them, they constantly prevaricate and have now gone non-responsive.

The same kind of responses i got to be fair, whilst they do reply its pretty pointless if all they do is avoid or point the finger back.

I haven’t seen that before or had it happen. I have mine on an HW80 at the moment, I will have a play tomorrow. I know the DNT Thermnight needs the day/night/thermal zeroing independently. I wonder if it’s something like that?

@Tinbum
Hi Nick,
Please can you ask goyojo what firmware version the GS515 is currently shipping with and if there are likely to be any updates in the near future.

Interesting video re zero shifting and possible solution.

Mine was also shifting the zero, lost confidence in it as I use it (or did) for pest control. Goyojo customer service was quite dismissive and no help.
I now know of a couple of other people having the same issue.
Yes it was only £160, but if it is not suitable for purpose, then that’s money down the drain if you get a duff one.

I can ask. That video is interesting, rather than replace the tiny battery charging the batteries in situ with the lead should have the same effect.

Hello, I asked a few general questions online and they failed to answer, Have they been so inundated with orders that customer service has taken a back seat, Also some units seem not to work correct and some are good so quality control seems to suffers ??

I think the OP in the video is changing out the small battery on the motherboard as a direct replacement because he thought the battery might be faulty.

Like any products that sell in great volume there’s going to be rogue ones, expensive units are no different, because they are lower volume less complaints. Personally I’d rather stick with my old tried and tested brick wraith and sytong that’s worth less than a new goyojo but no issues with zeroing or mounting and as clear as I need.

From what I could gather the battery is there to preserve the settings if the main batteries are removed. By charging the batteries in the unit that tiny battery won’t be needed. Just a possible easy fix if you are suffering the issue

So thinking of buying this cheap scope for an evening session of making holes in rodents.

Apart from the loss of zero any other issues to be aware of?

In my case I have a strange green hue , maybe a slightly faulty or poorly calibrated sensor

I've not had a problem with losing zero. Had a challenge getting a suitable riser mount to fit Kral NPo2. All sorted now. My only problem is that the rats seem to be on holiday. Attached target is gs515 and .177 NPo2 using Excite Econ 11. More fliers than I would have hoped for.

For above

Give the rws supermags a try, heavy ( 9gn I think) wadcutters & a decent price.

I normally use AA ftt. This was just a tryout. 11 or 12 of most groups were under a 1 cent euro. Couldn't find a 5p. Cashless society!!! One shot setup is initially difficult as holding the cross hair on the bull and pressing the set button is xxxking difficult. It took me 3 or 4 shots to zero.

Just suggested them as though you were looking for a pellet for vermin, they are good on rats & very accurate though my .177 springers ,& pcps & feed fine though my mags unlike some wadcutters. I found them more accurate than hobbys , another budget wadcutter I use for that too in both cals. Did you mean h&n ftt's btw or AA feild ?
