FX Impact M3

I had 2 M3's, 1st one I bought 2nd hand and although it was very accurate it did suffer from a slight POI shift every now and then, my 2nd one I bought from new and it's my favorite rifle out my pack, it's pellet on pellet everytime

my m3 is super accurate but noticed when i first started shooting it that if when gripping the bottle and not paying attention my thumb would push on the shroud and affect poi, not a problem now that i am aware, awsome gun.
Yep all guns will do that, if you change your breathing or the the way you pull the trigger or holding posistion. I tried concisely thinking about squeezing (pushing my thumb forward so i was pinching with you thumb and index finger) for my trigger pulls and that messed up POI.

Hi I find with this kind of post plenty will jump in and tell you to get this or that rifle and not actually offer any help.
For my two peneth, only having owned a second hand one for two weeks, I would already say the M3 is not for the faint hearted there is a multitude of possible issues and if your not comfortable adjusting the rifle don't take any risk and go back to the gun shop and explain the issue and if no solution found there and then ask for your refund.
-------------------------
I have consistency issues with power and but I am working on it and I know it will take a number of hours for me to sort (being a none gun expert).
As regards your issue, pellet choice may be a long shot having done a few hours pellet testing I can say my gun is pellet fussy but a stating point may be JSB 5.51 (mine is a .22). The amount of extras that have been released for the M3 tells me it wasn't fit for purpose when released, but that doesn't mean I will be selling mine any time soon, make sure your now accidently pressing on the barrel as this would be a easy way to move the POI with this particular rifle, as already suggested pellet clips is a potential issue and I have read its easy to effect a barrel liner if the previous owner wasn't carful with removal.

Which is pretty shabby when you consider they had the M1 and an M2 to practice on getting it right. Homer face palm 😂

I've got a Mk2 and, whilst being very accurate (very possibly the most accurate gun I own) and I love actually shooting it (maybe the one I actually like shooting the best because of the ergonomics), it is still the one gun I seriously regret ever buying at all because of the amount of time, money and grief it's given and taken.

I like a challenge, 😂 been doing the Wizard (reactive engineering) all my working life. M3 Not for the

I like easy. I am an acolyte and follower of Homer.

Not that boring Greek 8th century epicist, I mean that great American philosopher and intellectual giant of the 20th and 21st centuries.
He wisely said. "If something's hard to do, then it's not worth doing". 😂

Should have gone for the king or the crown I've got both both very good rifles. M3 are a tinkers wet dream ! ! Unless you know what your adjusting and why leave it alone. And when you adjust one thing you might need to tweak another. You don't always need to be pushing them as hard everyone want 11.8 ftlb when 10.5 is lower but more accurate. And try a different pellet and pellet weight for sub12 shooting heavy pellets they dont get the fps to stablise FXrifles like JSB pellets the liners are designed around them.

Ah ...Homer "I think therefore I beer...then I don't think"

Update 😀 Took the gun back and and ended up getting a brand new Red Wolf midnight blue .177 . Put scopes on etc and charged the battery and put it on chrono. 11.5 with Barracuda 8’s 8.44 and 12.5 with JSB 10.34

So happy with that result, Regarding the FX I’m not for tinkering in case I brast it and can’t fix it 🤣

 Is that a typo because if it isn't you maybe shouldn't be so happy.

Sorry I forgot to mention I tested my wolverine R as well and that was 10.5 with the Barracuda 8.44 and 11.5 with the JSB 10.34’s which I’ll be using for hunting and I was happy that the red wolf was 11.5 ft lbs with 8.44 grain pellets…… Sorry for the confusion 👍

In that case, unless I'm misreading, you haven't put 10.34 through the Red Wolf? At 11.5 with 8.44 it would be worth doing that. That could be close with heavies.

Lovely!

I’ve been debating between the Impact M3 and Red Wolf myself. Think I’ll give the M3 a miss 👍

Red wolf was 12.5 with 10.34 and 11.5 with 8.44 grain

Wolverine was 10.5 with 8.44 and 11.5 with 10.34
