Jesus, how does anyone fit one of these?
It's that tight that all I'm doing is damaging the inside of the seal when pressing it in. Am I missing something? Other than talent obvs. Pro Sport for reference
Late to the party, but exactly thisSeal face down as you have it, piston off-square to it and push down and twist.
Sort of push the bottom edge of the piston dovetail in and then twist, push and straighten the piston in one downward move.
Unless you need to heat it, which for TXs I've not had to yet, but don't use boiling water as soon as it comes off the boil![]()
Take it off mate, itโs upside down! Finally got it with the hair dryer. FML. I'm off to bed.

I checked at the time and it bumped to 12.3. took two coils off the TBT spring in the gun and it dropped to 7.5Check the power after it's had chance to bed in, I find it goes up.
Got these in my 95 & 97, they'll be going in anything else that can take one as & when they get a rebuild too ! If only they were available for Theobens & HW45s.
That's a big drop for two coilsI checked at the time and it bumped to 12.3. took two coils off the TBT spring in the gun and it dropped to 7.5. Just ordered a kit from WW with one coil less than standard - hopefully this cures it

Yeah that's what I thought, added the two power washers and got it to 8.5. it shoots lovely, but 8.5 is just a bit too low for me. If it had ended up at 10 I would have been happy and just left itThat's a big drop for two coils
One medium preload washer is around 1 ft/lb in my 95, TBT kit fitted.
.
Will probably last a lifetime, but definitely not the easiest to fitI had the exact same issue yesterday with the 28mm Britseal
Boiling water and all the usual tactics didn't work......in the end, took a tiny bit off of the inside with sandpaper and then with a piston fresh out of the freezer and a seal straight off the boil and a lot of twisting, pushing, leaning and swearing it finally went 'snap' and clicked into place!
I've actually lost 30 fps vs previous seal, but a finger over the transfer port creates a strong vacuum and I'm sure after a few dozen shots power will creep back up, don't mind if it doesn't to be honest as the shot cycle is noticeably improved with it in place![]()
A friend actually put the seal, on his TX, upside-down.Take it off mate, itโs upside down!
Only joking![]()
