Do you think the Red Wolf values will be affected by the launch of the Black Wolf ? They seamed to be aimed at a similar market ?

Slightly off topic, but has the new Black Wolf got all the complicated electronics that the Red Wolf has got?

I doubt it, it's the same scenario as the pulsar/renegade, don't think you have to worry if you're concerned about holding value :-)

In the configuration I would want makes it very expensive. I don't think the cost over many other mechanical rifles will see a performance upgrade equal to the price difference. I was originally against owning a electronic rifle but have gone full circle, I will wait to see if time shows the Black wolf to out perform the Red wolf?

I personally think it will.

I'm not sure why as I'm not clued up on the redwolf variants, but you see them for sale from £1k-£1.5k.

The £1.5k models will compete with a brand new launched, warrantied rifle. Not to everyone, but that must influence some decisions to sway to the Blackwolf.

At the end of the day we are all gun tarts and some Daystate fanatics, but a lot of us don't have a bottomless budget. Again not everyone, but there must be a lot of fans who fancy a Blackwolf but will have to sell their Redwolf to fund it.

The more that show up on the second hand market, the more competitively priced they have to be to secure the sale. Especially as supply and demand scales will tip due to some demand looking at a blackwolf purchase instead. I imagine you will see a fair few in the used market soon as people try to secure the most money in fear of a value dip.

It's just natural progression, look at what the wolf did to the mk4is, they can readily be had at £500 and have been for years and years now. The redwolfs 7 years old so it's got to have some effect on the market.

Bloke goes into a gun shop and asks, Have got a set of scope rings for a DS Redwolf"? The RFD answers, "Yeah, that sounds like a fair swap"!

If you can gen me another Red Wolf for a grand I'd bite your hand off :ROFLMAO:

I don't think the BW will make any real difference to the RW values, they are very different guns in how they make the power, and the RW is an epic gun in it's own right, I won't be selling mine because I'm buying a BW, but the electronics have villainised it in many comps which it's good enough to compete in, but can't Shrug tt

If you search the sales graveyard there's been a fair share.

There's a jeffsky tuned one sitting in sales now at 1200, the sellers not got any interest and now asking for offers.

I think this shows at say 1200, they ain't readily selling.

that was a .22 though, so should have been £850 :-) :)

To me, they are different guns and the decision will be electronic or mechanical......if they don't change the rules for BR then you'll see the blackwolfs on the circuit I am sure........

Personally I like mechanical, however the electronics are super consistent and when they figure out how to make the trigger a more sensitive switch, then it will take it to another level.

I would love one to be fair. My mk4is and pulsar were great. I'm going to put one of my rifles up for swap tonight and going to put a pulsar in the list of potential swaps.

I bought my RW solely on the back of how good my Pulsar is, and the RW is every bit as accurate but in a less fugly form. It's the only gun that has made me think I could live without my beloved Pulsar, although I'm still keeping the ugly old goose :D

You definitely won't be disappointed coming from the Pulsar to the RW, both outstanding guns and obviously very similar in many ways.

I will probably end up getting a Black Wolf at some point, but it won't be to replace my RW, as I love the electronic trigger etc.

I can't part with mine they are so good, so I have been lumbered with a MK4is, Pulsar, RW, Revere, and now have a BW on order

What do you do when you keep finding "keepers"? Shrug tt

I can totally relate to this, mate. It is truly a problem of our ilk :D

Yeah I loved the pulsar. I think it's hideous looks just added to the uniqueness. I think the only thing I would of changed was having the cocking leaver forwards.

Unlikely. It might come close or match but hard pressed for any gun to better it.

The BW will be c£1200 secondhand... If you go on 2/3rd rule which gives an indication of build costs... 😯

Yeah, you're probably right on that front thinking about it. I have grown to love the old girl. I avoided them for years but what an eye-opener when I shot it, astounding gun.
