I was told just the other day by my local RFD that Daystate will honour the warranty for a s/h gun. No more detail than that but assume that if you do it through the RFD that you bought it from. They don't broadcast it for obvious reasons, They should, I know, it would give them some credibility, after all they have a record of when it was made and date that warranty was registered.
On the Daystate website it states 'The warranty applies to the first purchase of a new rifle and is not transferable to subsequent owners.' I've been thinking of buying a nearly new 2nd hand Alpha/Delta Wolf but non-transferable warranty concerns me.

Thinking of getting an AW. Have a few questions for the long term owners:

how long does a battery last on in storage, and any issues if it’s flat when you come back to it?

I’m thinking of getting an FAC one in .30, but with a second barrel in .177. Can an FAC one be turned down to sub 12?

What size is the dovetail that the scope rail mounts to? Could you mount high mounts direct to it? Is it a standard 11mm dovetail for example.

Any common problems?

sorry for all the questions but trying to decide between an AW and. AGT Uragan 2.

The battery is surprisingly good, I've took mine out to the range for 3 hours and barely touched the battery life. It doesn't die while in storage either.

I have extra high mounts on top of the pic rail and the center of the scope it 3.5 inches above the bore.

It's a little too high to be comfortable ATM but the extra high mounts sitting directly on the dovetail rail is way too low.

Only problem for me is the weight.

I was looking at the U2 at the same time as the alphawolf and I've never looked at the U2 again since getting the alphawolf.

Yes, as mentioned the battery wont give you any problem's at all. I have a DW and it is a bit on the heavyside, but saying that there are not many off the shelf rifles built as well, they are solid well built rifles to say the least. The rail on the action is a 11mm dove tail, the rail on top of it is a weaver/pic rail. If your thinking you maybe better off with dovetail high mounts on the action, because you would prefer the scope to be lower to the barrel, you will find head position onto scope will be difficult. Mounting the scope on top of the scope rail using low to medium mounts works fine. I would not worry about the height the scope is above the barrel. I actually now prefer a higher scope as opposed to one fitted closer to barrel. But each to their own, both have advantages over the other.

Not many common problems tbh. Earlier DW had a few teething prob's, nothing serious. Buy they soon ironed them out and you dont hear of many, if any problems at all these days.

No doubt both great rifles your considering, and wish you the best of luck in deciding which one you pick.

Has anyone found any resources/tips/examples of tweaks using the DTD cable and software?

Mines sub12 and a lot of what I’ve found tends to relate more to the FAC version.

The latest Bios (from Daystate) allows you to make custom profiles (adjusting pulse rates and voltages to adjust hammer spring). Of course with the Sub 12, it can be adjusted from 12ftlb to 5-6ftlb and below. Reg can also be adjusted if needed, but you should'nt need to touch it from factory setting in sub 12ftlb. I do feel its worth experimenting with though as a far better shot count can be had. (y)

Is the reg now adjustable via the menu?

No but the display will tell you, if you require to alter the reg and to what pressure is recommended. Like I say on a Sub 12 there is really no need to alter reg pressure unless your changing calibers.. But a lesser reg pressure on this action can enhance shot count per fill, whilst still maintaining 11.5 ftlb. (y)

How are you adjusting the reg pressure?

The reg pressure is adjusted using a small flat screwdriver. Instructions can be found on Daystate website as the rifle needs to be degassed if turning reg down. Worth reading instructions first. (y)

Daystate refused to fix my SH Delta Wolf under warranty just 2 weeks ago!

What is the problem you are having with it mate?
I put it to bed for the winter fully charged and full of air. I usually charge it regularly or at least once a month. After 4 weeks I went to charge it. Would not turn on. Would not charge and the air cylinder was empty.
Daystate has fixed it within a week but it was chargeable not warranty... included a new lipo battery.
Cheers and thanks,
John

Hi Guys
Is the elemental single sht loader for the Alpha Wolf any good?and or other recommendations please
Thank you.

I have a Delta Wolf Sub 12 in .177. No problem yet but I’ve been away from it for the last 6 months or so due to an unplanned hospital stay. Will post more once I get home and get some lead down range with it 👍👍😎
