Bottle Compressor Help Please.

If you are going to go down the compressor route, rather be patient, save some more and go the Hill route, better quality, British made and top notch support if needed.
Exactly this.

Hi Mate.
Yes I think I will do that, just out of interest, do they ever come up for sale second hand on the forum ?
They do occasionally, although unless I know the seller really well I’d be wary as it could have been mistreated etc.

Hi Tim.
I have decided that later next year I will buy a new Hills, but to going on with I am looking at the GX CS4-I that i was told about, I have asked a few questions to the guys who are reviewing them on youtube and they said it will definitely fill my 5 litre bottle no problem

Smaller bottle and Hills Compressor.
No need for 7ltr with Compreasor.
Hills still best option for 7 Ltr
IMO

I was considering a Hill's as at the time I had a 6.9L, a 5L and a 3L but bought one of those instead with the intention of topping all of those up for various uses.

As it transpired, buying the compressor and using it had me shift my strategy. I sold the two largest cylinders and kept the 3L carbon fibre.

I've just added a Weekender 1.1L and how it works now is the 3L does what I would have used the two larger ones for and the 1.1L is the portable/range bottle. Having the availability of on demand gun and bottle top ups can change your thinking about what you need. In my case it was significant downsizing of bottles.

Thank you mate. I have spent all day researching the above compressor, and I have read some very positive feedbacks about it, and I am impressed, I may even do the same as you, leave my 5 litre in the garage and buy a 1.1 litre for day shoots at the range. They have brought out an up graded GX CS4 now, its the GX CS4-I and you can plug it straight into the mains or use it on the car battery, its got an inbuilt invertor, plus a few upgrades on the outside.

One of - or two of, actually - the things I liked about it are it is smaller and quieter than the Hill's. There's not a lot in it but the footprint is definitely smaller and it is, to my ear, noticeably quieter but for most people not significantly quieter.
In my case, my circumstances determined I needed the smallest, quietest but still large-bottle-capable solution. As I said, I then came to understand a large bottle was no longer necessary.
A 1.1L will do about half dozen topups of an S400, so a filled gun taken to the range will give a conservative 400-450 shots before you probably have to stop. A gun with a 480cc carbon bottle pre-filled will do you pretty well too. And if you think you'll be shooting several tins of pellets there's always the bigger bottle or even, as you say, hook the compressor to the car. I've never done it myself, though, mains only.

Yes, there is the newer version but I've not seen it at anything like the same price. It was a while back when I saw but it was way more than the external PSU. Personally, I think that Amazon price is a great deal, I paid more than that as I managed to miss the discount offers but you could buy two for the same price as a Hill's.

It looks like the One Stop Pump Shop on ebay is currently offering a slightly better deal than their Black Friday deal: Hill Evo310 bundle deal looks like a limited time offer though.

So now for less than £900 you can get the Evo310, makes more sense than buying a cheaper machine now then buying again next year.

Thanks Robs,
I was considering that, but if I spend a day shooting at the range, I will use the amount in my rifle cylinder, and we don't have electric at the range.
As suggested by @KeithJ23 Tuxing compressor and no need for electric at the range as it also connects to your car and works 12V.
Your budget will get you a very decent pcp charging compressor but to fill cylinders I arent too sure.
