Best moderator/silencer

What maintenance do they need? I can't tell much difference between the two on my sons R10 thb.

The noise dampening is fibrous that can develop strands that intrude into the pellet passage.

These can be hard to see so holding silencer up to light from each end in turn can indicate if removal needed.

To remove any fibre intruding a taper or long match inserted briefly while holding the silencer upright burns off any loose strands.

Oh yeah , I check through the bore of silencers if accuracy goes off & check they are not loose too.
