Beer.....

Beer doesn't come in tins! Tinned beer tastes of.....tin! It comes in bottles or out of a pump (and those 2 variations make it taste different)
If its come out of a pump, chances are it's come out of a big metal container in the cellar lol.
Some beers are fine ftom a tin, but need poring into a glass rather than drinking out of the can

I like to try differant ales but not seen that one in the shops, i get my usual hobgoblin then pick another bottle or 2 up that i aint tryed just to test 👍

Was it that Worthington crap that came in a tin with a widget of ? nitrogen ? in the bottom. Gave you a flipping headache as well as tasting crap

Cans all have a lining so if your beer tastes of tin (or aluminium) you're doing it wrong.

This beer doesn't contain any weed but the dry hops give it a nice herby aroma.

I love trying new beers but I’m not sold on the bottle conditioned ones. Have been enjoying a local brew lately but every bottle is very different. Picked one up the other week it was undrinkable, full of sediment and thick bloom. Any ideas if this is a normal characteristic?

Wherever I end up I always try the local brew. Luckily here in Herefordshire we have such deliciousness as Butty Back and HPA from the Wye Brewery. I've never tasted such beautifully crafted beers. Absolutely delicious.

My employer does contracts for a certain large brewer in Burton. They were trying to enthuse me about it but then I explained how they are able to make lager in 24 hours when to do it properly should take weeks and weeks. This brewer is now brewing Doom Bar - and its still marketed as a Cornish beer. Not Cornish water. Ergo not Cornish.

Local beer is as special as local cheese or meat. It has as the French say "terroir"*. You move production elsewhere, and it won't be the same. It's like moving a Scottish distillery to somewhere without peaty water.

*(French term used to describe the environmental factors that affect a crop's phenotype, including unique environment contexts, farming practices and a crop's specific growth habitat)

Here's an example of all I hate in modern beers: It's pale, flavoured with something "exotic" and comes in a tin.

£1.12? You'd have to pay me a lot more than that to drink it

Lovely beers and luckily for me, popular in several pubs around me in Shropshire 👍

Don't go into Sainsbury's then - they have loads of craft beer in funny coloured tins and it's about £3 per tin .
