There was a mistake when the products were put onto the shop.

Stock was available even though it wasn't.


Stock availability has been corrected so no one will be able to purchase until the TNC comes to the UK.

The unfortunate purchaser is being refunded as I write this message.

Apparently they didn't realise that the payment option on the website was actually live.
 
Spent an hour with the new firmware today. Zero at 20 yards using the old X & Y values which worked perfectly.

Used the range finder at 8, 13, 18, 42 & 54 yards with the hold over function and all spot on. (y) (y)
 
Okay. An update....


I updated the app today and have just tried the app update connecting to both my ZHD520R and the prototype ZHD312R.

Both connect and disconnect as expected.

If you are struggling, remove the already installed DNT app and reinstall.

Bonus...
I resent the ballistic tables to the on-board profiles and the algorithm now works as intended.


Bruce and I will be testing the ballistic table against the on-board ballistic profiles including the incline adjustment to the point of aim.

The manual is half way there, give uss a few days and we will publish it.

That's interesting,,not done my 5-20 yet but that about the lrf marker matching the reticle might actively suit me as I struggle with seeing red👀🤔

Sorry being slightly Dull of Mind .. does this mean will be able to adjust the Ballistic data on the unit it’s self? ie
Fps
Pellet weight
Etc

Just to reiterate..


Ballistics table can be sent from the phone using Bluetooth as per previous method.


5 ballistic profiles can be sent from the phone using WiFi to the scope.


5 ballistic profiles can be edited directly on the scope.


No other manufacturer has the ability to do all 3 methods of ballistic data handling.

DNT are once again leading the way in giving people what they want.

Uploaded the new DNT Firmware to my 3-12.

I'm also now running the new DNT app. Great that the app now has full functionality as far as angular inputs are concerned. Having played with the app for a bit I can confirm that the angular POA results agree with Strelok Pro.
I'm hoping to get out this week to test the unit for accuracy of elevated shots.
Just as well I held off sending the unit back!!
 
Does the new firmware update now alter the ret in the pip window to be the same as in the main screen or is still only the scaleable reticles ?

Yes, it now means you don't need to connect the scope to a mobile phone to set up the ballistics (if you don't want to)

No change.
The ret in the PiP window is always a simple cross except when the scaleable reticles are selected

I saw someone above had placed an order for the new ThermNight, and they emailed to say "please apply for a refund"? I remember the prototype on here being reviewed recently, but they weren't happy with the unit, then all of a sudden they're on sale? or are they?

How has "DNT" released software for the current Zulus's, which by all accounts is considerably different to the Arken Apps, and not even released an instruction manual, and seems to have left it to users (Bruce et al) to do it for them?

This doesn't make me very confident in buying the new unit :-/

Following on from this..... I don't plink or target shoot, I provide pest control, so shoot live quarry using anything from FAC Air, Rimfire and .223. So my question is.... has there been any formal testing of this new app? I know there are plenty of people on here that are "testing" it as it were... but again I'm nervous..... call me over cautious, or even a d1ck if you want, but shooting a .223 at live quarry with what seems like a hastily built app, with no formal 'acceptance' ...... can anyone shed some light on what's going on here?

...edit, and before you flame me... I'm a user of 2 Zulu's and really want the Thermnight...

...edit (2) I know I can continue using the Arken app, but where will the "acceptance" come from?

...edit (3) My Concern for safety comes from working in the Fireworks industry for 20+ years, and have seen the sky come down on people who don't take dangerous things seriously....

Is there any way of transferring the ballistic tables I have in the Arken app to the DNT app for upload to the scope?
