It is there. Thought it was under Thermal. Go easy with me guys been a bad week. Wife's had a UTI and Chest Infection, hopefully on mend now. 🙄
 
I only bought my 520R a couple of weeks ago and not had chance to setup yet so I think I'll wait and then use this new firmware when a guide is out (as I'm not very good at setting this sort of thing up 😂).

We will continue supplying the complete product range of Arken day scopes. The well-received Arken Zulus series will hereafter carry on as DNT Zulus with a few noticeable changes: new side cap design, inclusive of a 32GB TF card in slot, and default VCSEL 850nm IR for ZHD312R.

By launching DNT Optics, we are also pleased to introduce the DNT app that integrates scope connectivity and ballistics into one, supportive of both DNT and Arken Zulus devices. Available now on Apple Store and Google Play. Search ‘DNT Optics’and check it out.

A firmware update for ZULUS is released to enable up to 5 ballistic profiles to be stored on scope, and calculate a ballistic solution without having to keep the device connected to phone constantly. Meanwhile, there is a significant improvement of image quality for the ZULUS, esp. at dusk or when it is dark, we would suggest you to make a before and after comparison just to see how great it has become. This update will also allow Zulus to have a more accurate ballistic calculation when inclination is introduced, a feature that we believe will benefit greatly esp. for our fellow airgun users.

Just know that the update might reset your scope to default settings which may include wiping your zero profiles. So, before you upgrade the firmware, go into your zeroing reticle menu and write down the X and Y position of your reticle for each profile that you have adjusted. That way you can re-zero your ZULUS after you upgrade the firmware.

The most expected ThermNight TNC225R multispectral scope will be launched with DNT Optics. Available for order and supply from UK locally hopefully in about two weeks.

What’s coming up next with DNT Optics? We are looking at launching a series of literally game changing new products within this year, including ThermNight of 384/640 thermal sensor, 7-35x56 FFP scope with new reticle designs, clip-on night vision scope and more. Stay tuned!

Downloaded the new app and updated the firmware and sent a new ballistic table to my ZHD312R using the new app and it all seems fine. Tested indoors at 7 yards and the POI is exactly the same as before.

Will test a bit more tomorrow as I'm up at the farm, dog sitting for the farmer.

My scopes were updated last week so I could take screenshots of the process for updating and using the app.

I haven't been out using them as I spent 2 days going through the process taking screenshots for the manual. To be honest my scope has been updated and downgraded 4 times to get the screenshots as the process is so quick.

That's why I also know the algorithm isn't activated yet. So full functionality of the new firmware isn't active.

As it stands the only benefit you get from updating is the improved image quality..

Bruce has updated his scope, again to work on the manual.

I have asked Russ not to update his scope or look at the app. He is going to use our manual to follow the update process and video it at the same time.

Have updated my 312. Logo now shows DNT. Pretty painless and input zero figures. Seems ok but not shot with it yet.

Hi All,

Updated my 5-20 yesterday and only issue i noticed is the LRF markers on screen are now the same colour as the ret when changing the ret colour using a quick press of the settings button...

have to admit i preferred it when it stayed red.

Hi. I've just updated the firmware on my 3-12LRF using the Arken Optics app and uploaded the old Ballistic Table. As you say the LRF box does now match the colour of the reticle, plus the logo is DNT. Everything else seems to work just fine. It really is a lovely little unit.
 
Dam so now they only come with VCEL for the 3-12 For those that want to scan a little further out a slight annoyance if you already have purchase and got the led. More money to spend 😭. To be fair I will buy the 940 VCEL when pennys allow. Personal choice anyways.

It is annoying, I had to buy a 940 vcel, because they came with a led. It would not of been my choice.

Not sure why either as I am almost certain you have the choice on the 5-20. The parts are easily interchangeable so its not a massive issue, but it is an annoyance. On the flip side of that give people too many choices and it can be a pain in the backside for them as well.
 
I see the app version is now updated. I cannot get the firmware to upload. Keeps saying change network. When I do all I get is a QR code scan which I cannot do a thing with! Any ideas, or am I jumping the gun?
 
Good news about the inclination hold ove/under becoming more accurate but i am going to hang fire as Bill suggested for a little .;)
 
know im not for one minute saying this is true and im sure one of the more lets say more in the know people will come along and clear this up but just incase there is a possible scam attempt.

A guy on the face-book Arken Zulus page had a email from the new DNT OPTICES company

it read:

Dear xx

I hope this message finds you well.
We are writing to inquire if you made a payment yesterday on the website https://uk.dntoptics.com/. Please note that our website has not yet started official sales.
If you successfully made a payment, we recommend applying for a refund at your earliest convenience.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Arken Optics Customer Service"


Some will say how can they scam you from that email, Well if you get intouch with them, they ask you for your details ect, also the email says Please note that our website has not yet started official sales. and it seems funny that they would be able to take a payment if its not started yet.

Anyway make your own minds up, but just be careful
