HW35E still in the conversation ?

I’ve also had no email. I’m hoping for a nice surprise in about 15 days!

Same here - no Email.

My Grandad always said
"It is better to live in hope than to die in despair."

Also, the amount charged (for two sights plus postage) was less than the amount showing in my online "Basket"
£35.06 or $40.22 Euros

I have one of those Beeman peep sights somewhere, I put it on to a HW35 but then removed it some time later, It's probably in my bag for life of bits 'n bats!!

I often wondered what that screw thread sticking up was for, Apparently it's only used on certain types!

If you want to move it on let me know John.

This morning I tried diopter sights for the first time on my HW35E, and I'm liking it. 10 shots in each target at 25 yards, using QYS Streamlined 9.56gr 4.5mm. I was adjusting the elevation as I went along, the horizontal was almost spot on from the start. The sights are just a relatively cheap Air Arms piece as mention in a previous post: https://airgunforums.co.uk/threads/hw35e-still-in-the-conversation.185431/page-5#post-2969376

Good shooting, sir.👍👍🙂

Its all too easy to just fit a scope, yet its nice to see like minded folk using the open/ diopter sights and achieving great results.
The fact you are talking HW35s new and old to use none scope sights on is just the icing on the cake, i suppose a scoped HW35 with a 4x scope is about as pure as you can get with a scope and given the ranges typically encountered in sub 12 spring air rifle shooting 4x is more than enough.
Nice to see the iron/ diopter sights being use on this classic HW35 and being enjoyed so much doing this.

Re the cheap Williams FP AG sight? You would expect them to start turning up this week all being well.

Hmmm... the web site gives an address of '36 Scotts Road, Bromley, Greater London, BR1 3QD'. The Google Streetview car stops at number 22, but no obvious shop front is visible further up the street. Anyone live locally who could look?
Did people pay by credit card?

I paid by debit, I'm not too worried if it doesn't show up, I never fully expected it would personally

It was worth a shot for 20 quid or so, if it never arrives I won't waste time trying to get my money back

Like I said, worth a shot :)

To be honest, the standard open sights the HW77 come with are far more effective than I thought they'd be, I don't think I'll bother changing them as I've had some good results with them so far
Very good @Offa. I am enjoying learning to use my new (11 day old) hw35e and the open sights. Holding it loosely helped, and then realising I had to stop pushing the side of my face onto the stock helped even more! I have to use the push-on ('pin hole') aperture on my glasses to get a good sight picture with my old eyes, but things look like they'll go well.
Regards.
