Custom breech block .

I admire the cut of your jib 1260. I'm about to embark on a similar project although I'm still at the CAD stage. ( Cardboard cut outs ) I've got an Anschutz stock, a Walther cylinder, a CZ barrel and a spare Reximex regulator. My breech blocks normally start off as round stock to enable drilling/boring from both ends. Squaring off comes later. It's a bit wasteful of material but it works for me.
The problem I've got is lack of space in which to finagle a trigger mech. I'm working on it. Can't wait to actually start machining.
Thank you mate 🙂
I always look forward to seeing your work . love your external finishing. holes and patterns.
get your self a big four jaw . stick it on a face plate .
you can machine alsorts of strangeness .
I hate the design stage mono block chassis are a pain with internal and external parts fitted .

1260engineer Your are very clever, a master craftsman. I love see your work.
I think my engineer would make you cry.

Morning Mike 🙂
probably a coulpe of days . it takes longer to set up than actually machine it . the longest bit is setting up for the dove tails .
sounds a bit strange but i fit a barrel and the line up off the muzzel end . (nuts how did that happen )
Then i wind the bed full back so the dove tails are perfectly in line with the barrel .

Blummin ek Nick 🙂 thats some nice work . i do hope your proud of that . i would be . Superb mate superb .
Ah Nick 🙂 im pondering doing a metric Rapid block . please dont tell me you’ve done one 😂🤣😂🤣

Cheers.

The Innova block came out quite well. Certainly some serious head scratching was needed In the making.🤣

No not a metric Rapid block.. I actually thought of making a folding Rapid or a take down version like the S410 TDR..

Cool idea . either a short barrel or slot the top of the barrel so it self alines with the TP . the rest of a Rapid does lend its self to a TDR 🙂 love it 👍

No Chris i never laugh a anys one efforts.
we all started at the beginning. the forum has some cracking engineers and some of the best tinkers around . help will always be given at hogwarts 🤣😂🤣😂
