After cutting it to ruff size it went in the mill for a quick square up .then a block cut out of one end . then another block bolted into place ready for

A spin in the lathe for a rather long hole

If you look on the furthest/back edge you will see where ive added the block .
Then the block is back to the mill for some shape and raised doves

The bore is then reamed to size .
Then you end up with this .

The idea with the bolt on section is so you can remove the cap and just lift out the bolt .
that then gives you access to the cocking slot.
There you go.

Cool do you have any pictures. i would love to see that . i have a Innova and Ace 🙂👍very nice to have self contained rifles .

Innova alloy block here. 😊
For a temporary job I covered this in camo tape to see how this shot first. Several years later and it’s still the same.🤣

Morning J. Very impressive! How long would that have taken to do?
Morning Mike 🙂
probably a coulpe of days . it takes longer to set up than actually machine it . the longest bit is setting up for the dove tails .
sounds a bit strange but i fit a barrel and the line up off the muzzel end . (nuts how did that happen )
Then i wind the bed full back so the dove tails are perfectly in line with the barrel .

I admire the cut of your jib 1260. I'm about to embark on a similar project although I'm still at the CAD stage. ( Cardboard cut outs ) I've got an Anschutz stock, a Walther cylinder, a CZ barrel and a spare Reximex regulator. My breech blocks normally start off as round stock to enable drilling/boring from both ends. Squaring off comes later. It's a bit wasteful of material but it works for me.
The problem I've got is lack of space in which to finagle a trigger mech. I'm working on it. Can't wait to actually start machining.
