New HW100 Release: HW100X

It's 2 pack black paint...
... it will never ever be sticky
I had a go with one the other day and I think it’s the same rubbery stuff they put on the bullpups. At least it felt like it was, a bit soft to the touch. If it’s 2k paint that’s loads better. It’s the only thing I didn’t like about it. @GrahamHenderson have you got one can you confirm?

Basically I wouldn't rush out and buy a K etc if you're fancying ambi safety/M Lok etc etc and wait till things settle. Remember the Sporter is thee Release Edition spec.
Hi Brian,

The HW100 X will evolve I would think over the coming months to the new style ambidextrous safety with some stock updates.
Information is very limited from the factory.

Totally agree. The Release Edition ticks my boxes really well so I'm pretty happy but the sellers are also lacking detail apart from that one gun. There are contradictory model specs on K's, I think because it's not been trailed and some gaps have been filled based on assumptions. I'd wait for a while before optiong for a K. The next batches will be a while anyway. I can't be certain my sporter is coming until I get a phone call.

The cylinder can be filled off-gun. If the new reg fits in the old action I suspect I’ll be spending some money!

I'm only seeing this, so maybe there's something there that would make it clear to me but I'm not following what you mean?

You never know, Weihrauch may have unwittingly released a rare collectors edition of the HW 100 KTX in that the standard version (in a few months time?) would logically have ambi. safety as per the "release edition" T/S. Could be time to invest :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:.

When I clicked on the link from CWC on ‘Visit Instagram’ it took me to a Weihrauch UK video showing them filling the new cylinder off the gun, then installing it which means the new cylinder is capable of holding higher pressure and being taken off (unlike the existing aftermarket cylinders which can go higher than 200bar but can’t be detached when charged)

@Duff Beer , .. the end of the 100x alloy cylinder looks no different than the current 200bar cylinders as in there is a valve pin which depresses against the main inlet valve, again this looks the same too

My big dilemma is….
Get a hw100x then have to cost of scope, mounts, bipod etc, or….

Await some nice hw100’s coming up with people “upgrading” to the x that has all the goodies already on and even a ratworks cylinder or similar so basically very similar gun for a good saving 🤔
