You’re heading out into the wilderness maybe even stranded on a remote island from a sinking ship and for survival purposes ie: hunting food you can only take one air rifle and one tin of pellets and one knife, what would it be….

I’ll start the ball rolling with:

HW95k springer and a tin of .22 Bisley Superfields. That combination would work for me
My choice of knife would be my Swiss Army lock knife the green handled one with a deer with antlers motif on it. It has a lovely blade that sharpens up nice and a few other pull out useful tools built in

I’d be cooking on gas with that lot ( if I could find any gas! lol. :)
In fact it’s dead exciting- I can’t wait!

Well it's obviously got to not be a PCP or CO2 power plant as no refills. So I would go with my HW90 as I know how to shoot it well with JSB RS. For the knife I've got a multitool knife with a fire steel so probably that.

Personally I would take my Brocock Safari rifle +pump (unless the island classes it a firearm!!) and my Buck Kalinger, original fixed blade skinner

Ive a few i would want to take 😏

Tough call on what would be my chosen 'hunting rifle'

Maybe the original model 45. 22 cal, lots of poke, the thing is built to withstand the apocalypse and has back up quality iron sights. Pellet testing it still so not sure on that part.

Not into knives really. Can i buy somthing decent on the way there? 🤣

Hw30 .177 with dioptre sights and grab a knife from the ships quartermaster,...pellets, the rifle ain't fussy.

HW 95 .22. Accurate, reliable, and more pop than anything I have in .177 except my 56T/H and I’m not lugging THAT around all day. And has backup irons. Knife is Buck 117 Pro. Little bit smaller and lighter than the 119 and the S35VN will stay sharp and not rust. Just hoping I get stranded with a multi tool or a few coins in my pocket so I can keep stock screws tight!

Probably a Barretta Silver Pigeon, how else am I going to fend off those hungry silver backs? And a massive Bowie knife!

For me, it would have to be my old airsporter

A couple of tins of old Eley Wasp 5.6mm, from my stash

And my Puma White Hunter

(Stock image, cos I can’t be arsed to get off my arse and get it out of the gun cabinet 🤣. Mine has the antler grip)

The airsporter will still be throwing those Wasps at a steady 9.8flb in 35+ years with zero maintenance (that’s what she’s done since I got her when I was 14. And she was actually serviced a couple of years back, so is good to go again 👍)
And as for the White Hunter, if you’ve ever seen one, you know 😉

For me it would have to be my HW97 which is running V-Mach internals and shroud with H&N Barracuda 8s. TBH it could have been any number of pellets, but the B8s are great and in this situation as they are tough! It was a tough choice on rifle as my TX200SR is arguably as accurate and easier to shoot, but I've not had it 12 years like my HW which has been 100% reliable in my ownership. The knife would be my Wilkinson Sword Dartmoor Survival knife.

.22 HW80, JSB RS and a huge machete

Funnily enough i was pellet testing with this exact combo yesterday Rob, and my MK1 80 just does not like 13.43 grain RS, which is very strange because all my other HW's love them, i can only put it down to the heavily tweaked internals on my particular rifle 🤔

yeah how its set up, can determine what pellet they shoot

I'm taking it that "the island" wouldn't have any sub12 limit, so I'm sure the RS would work :D

I’ll go with my AA TX 200 HC a couple of tins of barracuda 8’s and afairly heavy bladed folder👍🤓
