I collect knives (as I'm sure many do) and have lots of pretty and some expensive examples.
But, when I'm going stalking this has been my go to for probably 25 years. Not pretty, not expensive, but frankly pertfect for what it's used for.

Sadly I lost mine. Literally have no idea when or where, just wasn't where I left it one day when looked. Still my favourite.
I really should just buy another but it wouldn't hold the same memories.
I bought mine in France when I was maybe just 12. The first time I opened it I wasn't even strong enough in my hands to depress the lock!
Luckily my Dad was.

how many years? I have one, my Dad, sadly gone gave it to me 35 years or so ago

I know mine gave me it for Christmas one year and it was maybe 1991-1992 so same sort of age as yours was.
First thing I did was cut myself with it as never had a really sharp knife before.
I've had much better multitool type knives come and go since but could never let the Huntsman go. Lots of memories.

I'd probably buy one, I'm keeping my eye's peeled for when the Manix 2 with the Magnamax blade lands at HH, shouldn't be far off according to an email I recieved from Spyderco recently.Always liked the profile of these.

As the wolf are back in Denmark, when i venture into the forest at night i am packing.

I got a Spyderco Salt knife which I never got around to taking diving and probably never will with my health.
Also got a Morakniv Companion Spark. It's a cheap Mora <£30 with a fire steel in the handle. Fantastic value for money.
