Strange one.

My WIFI keeps dropping . My wife with her laptop and phone and me with my tablet and phone get the "connected with no internet "

Yet I can still use my Zorin OS laptop to connect to the same WIFI, I’m using it to post this .

Any ideas ?

So if you can connect with a device, then the wifi is working, if the wifi was not working you would not be able to connect with any device at all.
So its a device issue rather than a wifi issue.
Some devices can be a bit erratic and inconsistent when it comes to connecting to wifi, printers are known for this, and in fact my printer often needs to be reset, eg: switched off, wait 30 seconds, then switch back on again, before it connects.
So maybe try switching the devices that are not connecting, off, then on again.
I've also had phones in the past that seem to "forget" the wifi connection, even though its still there, and by deleting the wifi connection,(on the device) then setting it up again, sorts it out for a while....
Could also be a wifi coverage issue I suppose, eg: if the devices are in different parts of a building, and some parts get better wifi coverage than others, so maybe try moving things around, can also consider moving the wifi bridge, router, etc to a more central location or get one of the many wifi boosting devices?

To add,.....On older wifi networks you could get interference from nearby other wifi networks, eg: neighbours, and by simply switching channels on the wifi bridge, router, etc that would solve the issue.
So if your wifi was on say channel 1, and your neighbour was on channel 2, it could interfere, so by moving your channel to say 8, 9 or 10 it would lessen the interference or remove it.
Wifi also used to be affected by other nearby electrical devices, eg: microwaves, home cordless phones, etc.
But TBH I have not noticed this much as an issue with modern wifi connections. But maybe worth considering....

There are various online and app based wifi speed and connection testers, to check how good or bad your wifi signal is, so maybe check out one of those too.... Hope you get it sorted as I know it can be very annoying....

Last thing I just thought of, make sure your devices are up to date with latest updates as they can improve things like wifi connection.
Its also sometimes worth googling your device name and the issue, as its sometimes a known issue or problem that others have and if so, there's usually also a solution or work around.... so google something like "iPhone10 and wifi connection issues" or whatever...
Cheers

Everything was connected to the WIFI but only the Zorin OS laptop was getting internet . Everything was coming up as Connected with no internet or similar .

I did all the Forget network and other things i found online and it was still the same . Router was switched off and left off for 20 mins then plugged back in and still the same . Its been sitting where it is since we got it and its where it is giving the best signal for the whole house ,single storey flat and the router is in the same room as almost all the devices at anytime and the others are only through a plasterboard wall.

I have done a factory restore on the Router (SKY Hub) and they are all connected again and getting internet .

I have contacted SKY about it last week and they replied saying they could send a Engineer out or a new router . I still have the old Router and could use it in the meantime if it will let me . I changed to the old Hub and it would not let the Netgear router be used again when the hub stopped working . We had to get a New hub.

Last week I had to hotspot from my 4g as my wife was doing her OU Uni Teams meeting and lectures.

Hi Paul - is your broadband copper, half or full fibre ?

We are currently copper only (as BT won't run fibre out to us as we are too isolated) and have been having exactly the same problem as you for some time. Plusnet have said that it is probably down to BT changing over to fibre - when they do, the line apparently resets and only allows an absolute maximum connection speed (1 Mbps here). Plusnet have twice done a 'VLN' (IIRC) reset on our line that effectively removes all restrictions and our speed has doubled instantaneously, but has dropped back to 4-5 Mbps over time.

What annoys me most about the whole thing is that we've had no notification from BT / Open Reach and it's a complete PITA having to ring Plusnet every time it happens. Likelihood that it will continue to happen and we will be forced to go over to half fibre and then lose our landline, which isn't acceptable as our mobile signal is shite too

Try to check what frequency radio the devices are connect to 2.4 or 5 GHz. It may just be on or the other causing issues. Older devices tend to be 2.4 only, newer can usually handle both. If the laptop is, say, on 2.4 and the other devices are on 5. then you need to look at the 5 GHz radio settings. Could just need the channel swapping.
