Why do I still go to the sales section first?

No access yet but seems like the sales is regulary used . I've lost faith in gunstar etc

I can't be alone in this; every time I log on I go to the sales section. It must be in the belief there's a bargain there or something I need. This month (or 4 weeks or so) I've bought a black TBT 97 action, then a Nick Gibney 97 in a CS500 stock, AGT Vixen (arrived yesterday), Warren Edwards HW80 stock (arrived today) and yet I still went straight to sales this evening. Think I need to make a comment on something I don't want to buy, get a holiday from sales. Save me some money!

Edit, MTC Mamba in the post!
Glutton for punishment?🤔

It’s on my top 5 sections every time I visit AGF, too, and I haven’t got time to shoot what I’ve got already…

A fortnight ago I bought a Longbow on a whim, partly due to several Webley threads on here, and partly due to my disillusionment with Weihrauch and belief that proper British guns were the best quality. That’s turned out rather well it has to be said, and I’ve since sold two other springers and some odds and ends to try and keep my numbers down.

A spare scope and slip soon turn into looking for a gun to go with them in my world 🫣

There’s no other springers that tempt me really, and my 1 PCP (Ultra SE) is perfect. BUT if a cheap AA S400f/classic in walnut or Daystate Huntsman Classic in .177 came up I’d have to try hard to keep scrolling 🙈

This year I started with 1 old air rifle, I’ve since bought 6 more and sold 4.

Yeah I looked on gunstar and trader everyday for the last few weeks while I was after a Vixen, but the sellers either didn't reply to messages, or there were no photos/details about used ones from trade sellers. Came good in the end here with a wanted ad.

Life is a one shot deal, so if you can afford something you like (without affecting meeting the unavoidable living costs), what the hell, just go for it.

Why regret - life is too damned short.

Luckily, I don't have access to it (and not sure how I gain it)

There is a minimum of 50 meaningful posts (i.e. worthwhile questions and comments), at 45 post so far you are pretty well on the path to enlightenment (well enlightening your bank account at any rate).

I'd seen a couple of guns I'd like, but collection only, further than I am prepared to go (thankfully).
Then that bloke down the road from me, who only ever sells .22's (well looked after), lists a .177 similar to one I was considering posting a wanted add.
It's almost like fate is trying to tell me I have a problem, I pick it up later.

Sometimes you have to look at what’s being advertised to see what’s being sold, do I need another pistol? But sometimes it’s one I’ve been looking for and part of this is the thrill of the chase, oh and getting a good deal. This lot has a pistol I’ve been looking for, one I can tinker with and probably £50 of pellets, and the fun of finding it.

You can't take money to the grave, as longs as you don't get into debt and can afford it, buy what makes you happy is what I say, for me it will be a dedicated ft stock for the hw97k when I can afford it 😁

The Walther has the rare barrel weight too, so I see the attraction.

Yup ,it's the first thing I always do .In the hope of snagging another MK1 80 in need of TLC ,or a boxed Gat so I can relive my youth .
