Hi all. Still not decided which air pistol I'm going to go for, I had my heart set on the Webley mk vi .177 pellet, but recently the 'inner Clint' has been calling. I like the idea of the Colt SAA. Single action and slow load doest bother me at all. Then, of course I've come across Remington, Schofield, Sheridan and of course S&W. All have their pluses. Some on price, some can use both pellet and BB. Wondering if any of you wonderful people have an interest in revolvers especially and have preferences, and if so, why please. Thanks

I've got a Schofield an SAA and an M29.

SAA - great trigger awful sights

Schofield - OK trigger and better sights (but did need a modification to the rear sight to compensate for low shooting)
P1050997 c.webp
M29 - very heavy trigger but fully adjustable sights
P1040246.webp

I tend to uses them equally and find it difficult to pick a favourite!

They are all smoothbores but I do have the "rifled" shells for the Schofield and use pellets in all of them.

Cheers
Don

Thanks Don. That M29 looks a beast!

Here’s my revolvers, can’t make up my mind which I prefer they’re all great.
All pellet firing excepting the Gletcher nagant I use lead bbs through it.

I have a Webley Mk V1 and a Gletcher Nagant, both pellet, I like them both the only problem with the Nagant is spare shells seem to be unobtainable so lots of reloading shells, whereas I have 36 shells for the Webley.

A lot of good feedback on various threads about the Gletcher, don't know why but it just isn't in my want list

.22 is unusual in a CO2 replica and helps make the Webley more special. The shell ejection on the Webley is also a neat feature and it has a nice trigger. Sights aren’t adjustable though it is reasonably accurate for a rep.

The Gletcher is probably my favourite, it’s compact and has a solid rather than hollow cylinder. It’s also field strip-able, you can remove the cylinder without tools. Also it feels nice and crisp in operation. Downside is no spare shells as mentioned.

Although it might be in the mind but I have found the .22 to be more accurate. The bonus is it also hits the tin cans with more convictioni don

Thanks Caruso, that's interesting to know.

The colt saa is a lovely replica. I have a pellet version. I know the sights aren't adjustable but it's accurate enough and good fun with a decent trigger. I find the loading quite fun but you'll need spare shells.
I have the webley mk6 in 22 also. Again no adjustable sights but still a great gun.

I have several Dan Wesson replicas of the .177 pellet kind and they look and feel really good.
Cartridges are interchangeable between them and also the Umarex S40 Legend.

If you want to affix a red dot or a laser-dot, you have to pay attention to which model and length you get as these features are dependent on those.

Single action and double action.
The long barreled versions are impressive and heavy beasts 😁😉.
