I’m currently pistol-less, having sold my 4.5mm 1911s a whole back.
I need/want a 6mm airsoft pistol for indoor home use when the family are out/I’m on a work call that could have been an email.
The AA pit viper is a very attractive option, I do like tactical as well as functional so leaning more towards race gun style.

Other models in the AA range that float my boat are the R603

and R604,

with the 3 probably better frame size, but do like the compensator and fixed barrel on the 4.

Also the EMG staccato R611

Opens/fibre optics are fine and might stretch to a laser down the line, if possible.

Yep, looking at the pictures now I’d say I definitely have a type 😂

Ideally less than £200, with some flexibility in the budget.

I read that TM are the gold standard for internals and build, but I’d like metal, even if only ally for now. TM compatible would be good, but this will never get skirmished and is purely to scratch the indoor plinking itch.

Thoughts, experience and alternatives welcomed please.

As you say TMs are not metal but they are very, very good. The Gold match is the (gold) standard. Also very good from TM is the Glock gen 5 and I've not shot it yet but there is a new TM DOR compact hi capa that looks the DBs.

Weirdly, Glocks just don't appeal to me. Not sure what it is, but they're maybe just a bit too square.
I know. I'm weird. The steel one on sales I could probably make an exception to my rule for though 😍
Just reading up on the DORs and seems replacement slide options are limited because of the internal changes to allow the optics plate jobby. I don't need a full metal pistol, and poly slide would be ok, but if always feel like it was a downgrade from the all metal swiss arms 4.5 I sold 😕
Plus I'm a gadget tart and will absolutely end up down the modding rabbit hole 🤣

I recently sold TM DOR in white, yes they abs but it was quality and shot well, I have so many 1911 and just didn’t use it, looked very futuristic in white

I don't normally do the poly pistol, but after the DOR, I would get another!

I have a very nice SRC Airsoft Beretta in the shiny gun metal grey, a lovely finish, picked up wood grips for it from Asia, has both green gas and a co2 mag, lovely trigger and accurate

I had a nickel 92 pellet with walnut grips, just a bit large a frame and the hooky trigger was a bit quirky for me. Lovely thing, though

This is probably one of the very best made 6mm available. It’s my goto for Action Air.

CZ75 SP-01 Accu Target.

I have come across these but just not heard much about them. Sadly I don't have local access to any decent Airsoft shops so having to window shop in the internet, which makes it difficult to judge the more niche looking stuff for balance and handling.

Dammit, my potential budget may have to increase now I've done some research into the Novritsch SSP5 🤦🏽‍♂️
Seems to offer better value than going TM Gold + slide upgrade, plus seems to be very well built.

But ... £280 🫣
