Which Allen key/hex driver brand?

Do I have a favourite brand?
Not really, my go-to socket tools are a few Wera mini-hex screwdrivers, a set of Draper long reach allen keys and a multitude of 1/4 hex bits.

I like the Wera, always got them for work and home. The bright colours are nice too 😆.......domt

I had a multi kit down to need for work at that time on that very day, I didn't have to pay for them but got to keep them, nothing special, great selection both metric and imperial, but not the best quality, Bought myself a T-Bar kit for a bit better home use , a set of Wiha , didn't know anything about them, just on offer at the time from Zorro I believe and the sizes I was likely to use.

Here someone tests multiple brands in a controlled way , I think he actually breathes at some point in the video as well 😮

I use this brilliant set that l bought from Adli. Certainly good enough for anything l use them for.

+1 for wera, a couple of Snapon/Blue point. Anything not manufactured in the PRC.

He does great reviews.

I use Bondhus. Had them for years .

Cheap ones are better used as tent pegs.

Eklind
You probably haven’t heard of them, but they are an American company and are manufactured in the USA.
Great quality and practically indestructible.
I’ve been using a set of their cushion t handled sets at work, everyday for donkeys years, they are still going strong.
Something like these:
eklind great quality had a metric set and imperial set for over 20 years great tools.

Wera are the best. Bondhus or vessel are decent too. Buy the best you can afford.

+2 for Bondhus
Got a set of ball end long T-Bar hex wrenches 2-10mm in a nice stand which lives permanently on my workshop (ie garage) bench.
I like that the T-Bars get bigger as you go up the range so the torque you apply by hand is progressive according to size. Yet to overtighten anything 🙂
