Must admit i have a .20 a HW97 though, its a brilliant all rounder if you ask me if i was ever down to just one gun it genuinely would be a .20.

Wow! 😳 Salvage? Please elaborate it's definitely way above any find I've had.
Well it was an old unused rusty club rifle that was destined for the skip during a clear out operation until I intervened and cleaned it up best I could and had it sent off for overhaul. It shoots at 2-3fps shot variation 600fps RN10 8grain smooth as silk..just doesn't look very pretty thats all!

And no clicking and clacking around like the mark2 and mark 3 tx200 either , silence is golden , go the pro sport they can keep the TX200 for me over priced clicky and clacky failed attempt by air arms to make a HW97 Clone, .
I just got a Tony Leach kit with no beartrap grooves. No clicky and clacky and shoots like a dream. A cheaper way is to just remove the clicker. You still have the safety and everyone should hold onto the lever while loading anyway.

Absolutely and yet the pro sport and the mark 1 tx were click free, Air arms were corporate litigation terrified and launched the bear trap nonsence by the time the mark 2 and 3 showed up. Its Awesome HW have ignored the ABT thing proper and it must be said even with their fake ABT/ Trigger intercept thing it can be removed very simply and of course the huge HW97/ 77 trump card the significantly lower price point of the HW97s etc that just can not be ignored .

Jeez binning that would have been absolute sacrilege, so gad to saved it 👍

Yeah so am I. Some people especially small bore shooters I've noticed have very little regard for heritage or engineering.
Got to agree even as parts the barrel is a match barrel, & a gorgeous stock!
1st Save it
2nd Parts
3rd Never ever ever skip an airgun I'd rather give it away for free so someone who could use it to repair there's.

I am most definitely in the Weihrauch stable and have been for thirty years, I love my HW97K 177 in laminate forest green especially since it was tuned by our fellow member Nick Simmons. My .22 HW95K would be my desert island rifle if I had to choose one. My HW35 and 30 in .22 I’d miss sorely as they are superb.
I recently strayed however and bought a new 177 AA ProSport in walnut stock flavour and am enjoying that as much as my 97(s).
What I can say about the AA ProSport is it’s not a twanger out of the box unlike 97s.

I’d rather not have to choose one springer though, questions like that make me anxious.
