As above, just get the kit from BF, very little air is required if & when you do need to tweak the ram, and i would not like to use a stirrup pump personally, as it is far to easy to overcook things, and damage the ram.

Slim Jim is what I’ve used in the past. If you do over pressurise it a punch and a Tap using the weight of a plastic handled screwdriver on the shrader valve will do the job gently.
I got the full pump kit with my Evolution (the gauge was not part of the kit then ) and I gave it away with the rifle . Very easy to use .

Then that's what I'll go for! Thanks everyone.
You won't go wrong with the BF kit if you follow the very detailed instructions properly.
If you are purchasing a brand new '90, chances are it will be doing somewhere between 10 - 11 fpe depending on how long it has been in stock, so a chrono is a good idea, and even more important of it is a 2nd hand purchase.
The '90 is a fine rifle, keep us posted 👍

I used a stirrup pump to do the one i serviced for a mate, just took a few strokes (carefully of course)

Thank you! It's used, but serial suggests 2022 so hoping not seen too much action. I have a chrono on the way too! It's starting to tally up a bit more than anticipated 😅

Another vote for the Best Fittings kit. If you buy all the bits seperately it can get very expensive as I found out! I sold mine on the forum yesterday with all the adaptors & the gauge for £75 as I am selling my HW90K!

A good old Essex girl should be able to talk the pressure up 😂🤣😂🤣

failing that you will need one of these mate does Theoben and HW 🙂👍

Using the best fittings adapter, I pumped mine with seven strokes of a pcp pump.
