Probably more 30 / 34mm than half inch but including 35 & 40mm etc?

I put Hawke in there, to see who are the jokers! 😀
I have rings by Tier one, Burris, Sportsmatch and quite a few others. As long as you use quality rings and bases you should hold zero. for air and rimfire the sportsmatch are a good product at a competitive price. For centrefire I normaly opt for the T Os and Burris XTR for 40mm tubes on the long range scopes. The XTRs can be offset for up to 40 MOA if I remember correctly. Even for a PCP get yourself good quality rings ebay cheapo's may do the job but is it worth the risk?

If I was shooting standing with a sub 12 air rifle Spuhr would close to the bottom of my list.

Some scopes also come with integral mounts e.g. Dedal.

I don't think any set of scope rings will be the best in all circumstances, even when cost is no object.

I like BKL even if money was no issue i don't see me buying more expensive ones just for the hell of it.

Sportsmatch seem to have gone downhill in recent years I've found. Hawke Tactical mounts (6 torx screws per ring) are excellent value for money for air rifle/rimfire. I have tier one on the 6.5x55. I would be tempted to try the hawke tactical on a light centrefire too to be honest. Otherwise Burris, Warne, Sphur would all be options for me too.

Have a peek at Hawkins Precision, Kier.

Not cheap here Chris!

Vortex branded ,but made by Seekins Precision of USA £200 💰,think there about the best i’ve ever had ,everything is perfection regards the engineering precision and the anodising is matched (no different shade of black )had as lot of mounts Hawke are the worst i’ve ever had the pleasure of ,absolute junk ,i would think Spur are good /best if you like the style !👍

I really rate UTG pro mounts. For the money they are superb value.

I've never had anything more expensive than them so can't comment on those that cost a months wages. For an air rifle the UTG are all you'd ever need

I have a couple of sets made by the late great Rick Ardern; they are ultra low and have been swapped about on different rifles that use a small diameter objective lens scope. I wouldn’t part with mine for various reasons, but if you can get your hands on some you won’t find better low mounts. At the moment I am using some budget priced unbranded mounts with a 44mm objective lens scope on my TX200HC. They are rock solid even without using the arrestor pin. Proving you don’t have to spend premium prices for a secure setup.
