I've never had weirauch before and after recently getting back into shooting I bought a HW97.
It's been great and I love it.
I've had AA and afew Daystates before but I've started to look at what Weirauch are doing PCP, I know the HW100 has been around years and is tried and tested but I know very little about them or the HW110.
Whats peoples thoughts who have them or had them. Which would you go for HW100 or 110? What's the difference?

For me the HW100 any model is way better than a HW110.

I don't like how you load the HW110 mag onto the block. I don't like the polymer block too.
So are you saying that the HW100 is made better? Have you tried both?

HW100 has been around for years and not changed much. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
Synthetic, wood and laminate stocks and styles. Normal, carbine and bullpup so several different types. Solid reliable and some say heavy. Simple and effective magazines.

HW110 Synthetic or laminate stock. Normal length and carbine. Ballistic polymer action. Magazines slightly more fiddly but IMO easy to use but easy to use when you get used to it. Light rifles so good if you want a (relatively) light gun. The carbine is as short a bullpup. Original ones tended to drop power after a while. I believe this has been sorted.

All accurate and usually not too pellet fussy, always worth testing though. (obviously you can get a 'bad un' from any company but you will be unlucky to get a Friday afternoon HW)

Many will probably say the 100 is better. If you want a light short rifle then the HW110 carbine may suit you better.

Try shouldering a few and see what you like.

I am not an expert I have tried both. I hope that helps.

Didnt they sort out the issues with the 110?
They may have, Im not sure tbh. The block is still 2 pieces though, and 2nd hand confidence is low on the 110. Harder to shift on. But its your money your choice buddy......All rifles have niggles etc.....a 110 new would be wiser than a 110 2nd hand if your heart is set on it.

Do a bit of research on this as there will have been hundreds of this very thread.

Generally the 110 had some problems but they shoulder different to a 100 so despite construction methods and mag design etc you may wish to try both.

They had low power probs but this can be sorted yourself.
Personally I prefer the 110 - it just gets a bad rep as they made the 100 so good from the off.

Owning a 100 though is a bit like driving a really average boring car, it’ll get you there but it won’t be exciting, but that’s what some people are after 😉

Good luck!

Most on here will say a 100 as they have been around for donkeys - like most of us on here!!

Have tried both - my local range has the 100 as their range guns: built like a tank and excellently accurate. However, I ended up buying a 110k as the polymer (same used as a glock, so it’s pretty sturdy 😆) means the rig is lighter and far more ‘pointable’ IMO and that’s what I wanted as was used for pesting. Just as accurate as the 100 out to 50 yards.

There was an issue with the hammer spring on older models but HW seem to have sorted it now. I just sent mine off to hw100tuning for a full service and new titanium air tube to add a few more shots.

The mag is easily loaded and unloaded single-handedly once you get the knack of it. So don’t let that out you off - most people who have a problem are 100 users who’ve not learnt how load the 110 and find it fiddly, it’s just different.

Best advise (as above) is to shoulder (and possibly shoot) both and see how you go.

They’re both great guns, you won’t be disappointed.

Having tried both, the HW100 is the one for me, but try both to see which one you like. You won’t be disappointed with whichever one you choose, very reliable guns. Good luck with your choice and hope you enjoy shooting it.👍

I bought a new HW110K last year . I really liked the feel of the rifle and it was a lot lighter than the HW100 , also it was very accurate. I'd only had it a few weeks and it started to lose air , dropping about 30bar in a week . I took it back to the shop a couple of times but they said they could find a leak. I contemplated sending it off to HW100tuning to get sorted as I'd read after I bought it about the power drop issue the 110 can have . It was going to cost a small fortune to get sorted but went on the waiting list , in that time I'd seen a second hand virtually new HW100 bullpup for sale at the gun shop so traded the 110 in for it and only paid a little bit on top , best decision I've ever made with air rifles , it's a tank of a rifle , solid and very very accurate.

I had an hw110 in .22 for a short while. Whilst brilliantly accurate, the magazines would every so often get stuck. I tried everything including filing the mags and it got a bit better but by then I was fed up with it. Moved it on and now have an hw100kt in .20 which has been faultless. Appreciate this is a bit subjective but I would vote for the HW100 as in my experience it just works.

Design wise, HW100 has a better loading system, and the main block etc is metal compared to the balastic polymer on the HW110 and the HW110 has a fiddlier loading system (until you get used to it). If you want a chonky tank of an air rifle and have the money to spend get a HW100 £1000-£1100 with a nice stock of your choice. If you want a hell of a lot of PCP for the money get a HW110 £749 as they are very reasonably priced for what they are.

Accuracy wise no difference, same old situation of finding the right pellet for the barrel.

I went for the HW100kt (.22) simply because I like the look of it. Having used it for about 4 months, it's accurate...very accurate, easy to load, no magazine problems and a joy to use.

I bought mine specifically for pest control, and it's chucking out H&N Hunter Extreme's (18.52 grain) at a healthy 11.7ft/lb. 😃
